My Official Thoughts on the June 1st Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:
My Official Thoughts: This was actually better than WWE Clash in Italy, which is pretty funny. We got four strong matches. The segments on the show were decent, and RAW overall has been a solid show. The real problem in WWE is the Creative team, because they seem afraid to take risks. Still, this was a good episode, and next week we’ll get more first-round matches in the King & Queen of the Ring tournament.
My Official Match Ratings for the June 1st WWE Monday Night RAW Episode:
The Opening Match: Carmelo Hayes vs. Oba Femi vs. Penta vs. Solo Sikoa (with Talla Tonga) in a King of the Ring Fatal-Four-Way First-Round Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — This was a fun opener. The way Oba Femi was throughout the match was awesome. They all tried to attack Oba Femi, but he took everybody down, then posed. Carmelo Hayes and Penta went back and forth in the ring, which made me think I would love to see a match between those two. Solo Sikoa had Talla Tonga try to be the heavy, to take down anyone and everyone. He tried to take down Oba Femi, but we saw Oba Femi be unleashed, as he attacked and destroyed everybody and hit the Powerbomb to Solo Sikoa to get the win and advance to the Semi-Finals of the King of the Ring Tournament.
The 2nd Match: Dragon Lee & Rey Mysterio vs. Ethan Page & Rusev in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — Dragon Lee is back, as he tagged with Rey Mysterio against Ethan Page & Rusev. Dragon Lee, it was good to see him back in the ring. I hope this means he's also involved in the WWE Intercontinental Title scene. The pairing of Ethan Page & Rusev works. I like this type of tag team, the cocky heel with the monster heel. Dragon Lee tagged in Rey Mysterio the place exploded. I liked seeing Rey Mysterio get in the work. To get the win. Now I do think the WWE Intercontinental Title Scene is the best scene at the moment in WWE today.
The 3rd Match: IYO SKY vs. Giulia vs. Lash Legend vs. Roxanne Perez in a Queen of the Ring Fatal-Four-Way First-Round Match | The Match Rating: **** — A very fun First Round Queen of the Ring Tournament Match, Giulia getting a warm reception in front of the Italian Crowd. IYO SKY, Lash Legend & Roxanne Perez were also awesome in this match, getting great reactions. The in-ring chemistry for this match was a lot of fun; all four women in this match are highly regarded by fans of mine. I liked seeing Giulia on RAW. I would hope she could make a move to the brand, which could help her. Roxanne Perez, whom I believe will be turning face soon, had some cool moments, same with Lash Legend, but in the end, IYO SKY pinned Giulia to advance to the Semi-Finals of the Queen of the Ring Tournament.
The Main Event Match: Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker (with Paul Heyman) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — This match was better than anything that was put on WWE Clash in Italy. This was an amazing match between Bron Breakker & Seth Rollins. This match was physical, intense, and chaotic. Bron Breakker looked amazing since his return from his injury; he has been doing his thing. Seth Rollins is looking to beat Bron Breakker to give him a lesson. During the match, we saw Austin Theory come out, then he got taken out by Montez Ford, who then got speared by Bron Breakker. The ending was smart. Seth Riollins used the WWE World Tag Team Title as Bron Breakker went for the spear, knocking him out, as he got the win using the Curb Stomp. Seth Rollins got the win and now focuses next week on the First Round of the King of the Ring Tournament. I'm happy Seth Rollins is wrestling weekly again; it has helped in the quality of the show.
My Official Match of the Night for the June 1st Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW: Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker (with Paul Heyman) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — This match surpassed WWE Clash in Italy, featuring Bron Breakker & Seth Rollins in a physical, intense, chaotic bout. Breakker looked great post-injury; Rollins aimed to teach him a lesson. Austin Theory appeared but was taken out by Montez Ford, then speared by Breakker. The ending was clever: Rollins used the WWE Tag Team Title to knock out Breakker during his spear attempt and won with the Curb Stomp. Rollins now prepares for the King of the Ring First Round. I’m glad he’s wrestling weekly; it improves the show.
My June 1st Official Episode Grade for WWE Monday Night RAW: 8.25/10 (B+) — This was better than WWE Clash in Italy, which is hilarious. We had four solid matches. Now, the segments on the show were okay. But RAW has been a solid show; they are not the issue, but the issue within WWE is the Creative because they are scared to take risks. But this was a fine episode. Next week, we have more King & Queen of the Tournament First Round Matches.
