My Thoughts on the August 4th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Thoughts: This Episode of Monday Night RAW was very up-and-down as it was one of the weaker episodes of RAW in recent times. We saw new storylines being started and some new challengers for Seth Rollins in LA Knight. But this show lacked a lot of new, fresh ideas. It's like we are in a repeating cycle, and the WWE Draft needs to come shortly to switch things up and give a fresh breath of air.

The August 4th | Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Rusev vs. Sheamus in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — The weakest match out of the three for obvious reasons there was no finish for this match as we will get the pending rubber match at Clash at Paris I would hope this fued needs to end on a PLE espically with a stipulation like a Donnybrook Match which will be chaotic and very hard-hitting. I'm happy that this feud isn't ending, as it'll continue. Rusev and Sheamus have had a perfect wrestling feud, no talking, just fighting to see who is the better man. Throughout the night, they fought throughout the arena, and even Sami Zayn got involved, which set up a match for next week as Rusev will face Sami Zayn. I expect that to be a very hard-hitting, fun match.

2nd Match: Penta vs. Grayson Waller in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — I have seen this match twice before on WWE Main Event, and they were very average at best. This match was a filler match, as I thought, but Penta's next feud within WWE is with The New Day. After taking down Grayson Waller with ease, The New Day tried to attack, but it didn't go as planned. Penta got both men out of the ring and wore Xavier Woods' big hat, looking like Yoshimitsu from Tekken. Penta, I expect, will win this feud, as I think this will be a very short but fun feud for him, as they need something for him to do.

3rd Match: Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair (c) vs. The Judgement Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) in a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — This was an unexpected match. I didn't think the rematch would happen on the RAW after SummerSlam, but Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair popped the challenge, and Adam Pearce made it official. This wasn't like their SummerSlam Match, which was very fun and solid in my opinion. This match didn't have what it had at SummerSlam, and Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair had their 1st Successful Title Defense. Czm that The Judgement Day will be shifting away from the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles as they lost their opportunity to win them back.

4th Match: Dominik Mysterio vs. Dragon Lee in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — Dominik Mysterio's best wrestling dance partner is Dragon Lee, and it wasn't like their September 2023 Match, but it was the Best Match from tonight's show for me. I thought the in-ring back-and-forth was starting to brew but before it could get inot the next gear El Grande Americano came out then another El Grande Americano II came out but got kniocked down which proceeded for El Grande Americano III to nail Dragon lee to help Dominik Mysterio win, So Ludwig Kaiser, Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate are all El Grande Americanos I wonder how this storyline will go out and I liked how AJ Styles came and helped Dragon Lee afterwards hoping next week it's AJ Styles and Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano in a Tag Team Match.

The Main Event Match: Seth Rollins (with Paul Heyman) (c) vs. LA Knight in a WWE World Heavyweight Title Match | The Match Rating: N/A — LA Knight finally got his first World Title Match since the Royal Rumble in 2024. This match was starting to become very enjoyable as Seth Rollins was working his heel tactics and trying to end LA Knight by putting his head through the concrete. CM Punk arrived and attacked Seth Rollins after what he did at Night One of SummerSlam, which was cashing in the Money in the Bank to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title from him. But the Vision Members, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, came out and started to brutalize everybody in CM Punk and LA Knight. But as the show was closing, Roman Reigns came out and disrupted the madness. He took down everyone, but Seth Rollins hit a Curb Stomp to Roman Reigns, then Bron Breakker hit a massive spear to finally finish him off. Bronson Reed hit multiple Tsuamni's and took Roman Reigns' Retro Jordans once again. The Vision looked strong and menacing, a fun way to close the show and make the Group look ultra powerful.

The August 4th | WWE Monday Night RAW  The Match of the Night: Dominik Mysterio vs. Dragon Lee in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **.75

The August 4th | WWE Monday Night RAW  — The Episode Grade: 5.75/10 (C) — This was one of the weakest Monday Night RAWs in recent times. This episode didn’t hit for me. Yes bunch of new storylines started, and some action happened, but this show didn’t feel like how RAW usually feels, and I hope next week it comes back because this was a very weak episode.

Next Week WWE Monday Night RAW | August 11th Episode — The Announced Matches & Segments:

  1. Rusev vs. Sami Zayn in a Singles Match.

  2. Naomi (c) vs. IYO SKY in a WWE Women’s World Title Match.

  3. Becky Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri (with Akira Tozawa & Natayla) in a Singles Match.
