Thoughts on the February 3rd Edition of WWE Monday Night RAW on Netflix Episode:
Thoughts: What an episode of Monday Night RAW. From the start, Jey Uso with a passionate promo stated his appreciation for the fans and how grateful he was with a loud reaction. Gunther came out and berated how he would make Jey Uso's life a living hell if he chose Gunther again. Penta faced off against Ludwig Kaiser in a very entertaining match. After the match, Pete Dunne appeared while Ludwig Kaiser blasted Penta blindsided with Pete Dunne looking confused. Charlotte Flair came out to a mixed reaction and Rhea Ripley begged her to choose her to be the 3rd match between them. Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio took on The New Day in a very fun tag team match. Dragon Lee was the star of the match. Logan Paul made an appearance and cost LWO their match. Liv Morgan had a very impressive match against Iyo Sky. Rhea Ripley tried to aid Iyo Sky but by accident caused her the match and ended Iyo Sky's hopes of entering the Women's Elimination Chamber Match. Sami Zayn and CM Punk had a professional wrestling masterclass of a match. Sami Zayn lost and then got viciously attacked by Kevin Owens as he was packaged piledrive.
The February 3rd | Edition of WWE Monday Night RAW on Netflix | Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Penta vs. Ludwig Kaiser in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ***.75 | This was a strong opener, and I was very happy to see Penta have another match on Monday Night RAW. This match happened because of the Royal Rumble, but even before that, a feud between these two was brewing. Penta secures another win as he continues to build his stock. After the match, Pete Dunne came out, but Ludwig Kaiser attacked Penta from behind while Pete Dunne looked confused. It would be interesting to see Pete Dunne join Imperium, as it gives him something to do and allows him to be in a tag team with Ludwig Kaiser. Finally, Penta has his first official feud in WWE against Ludwig Kaiser and Pete Dunne.
2nd Match: LWO (Dragon Lee & Rey Mysterio) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) | Match Rating: ***.25 | Finally, we got Dragon Lee's minutes as he showed out in this match as expected. The New Day has a new tone and theme song as they walked out to a pour of boos by the crowd. But this match was very entertaining. Mid-way through the match we saw Logan Paul come out as announced before the match he'll be facing Rey Mysterio next week on Monday Night RAW in a Men's Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match. But with the help of Logan Paul, Kofi Kingston was able to hit a Trouble in Paradise for the win for the New Day.
3rd Match: Liv Morgan (with Raquel Rodriguez) vs. Iyo Sky in a Singles Match in a Women's Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match | Match Rating: ***.50 | This was an exciting match. Liv Morgan had a solid performance against one of the best in the world, Iyo Sky. Every time you watch Iyo Sky, it's like you're witnessing a complete wrestler from top to bottom. Raquel Rodriguez tried to get involved, but Rhea Ripley came out to make the save, accidentally costing Iyo Sky the match when she blasted Liv Morgan in the head, resulting in a DQ victory for her. After the match, a distraught Iyo Sky walked away from Rhea Ripley as her hopes for WrestleMania faded.
The Main Event Match: CM Punk vs. Sami Zayn in a Singles Match in a Men's Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match | Match Rating: ****.50 | This was an amazing match—my goodness! It was so much fun; the chemistry between these two was evident. I loved this match so much; it felt like a very old-school, gritty style of wrestling. CM Punk was talking trash to Sami Zayn and had a great reversal to dodge the Helluva Kick. CM Punk got the win, and afterward, Kevin Owens unleashed a vicious attack on Sami Zayn, demolishing him and then hitting a Package Piledriver to close out the show. What a crazy ending after a fantastic professional wrestling match!
