My Thoughts on the July 14th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Thoughts: Amazing episode of Monday Night RAW. They featured a little Evolution Part 2, with the women as the main focus, opening the show with the first three matches and backstage interviews. I love it; the women have been the bright spot in wrestling this year, consistently beating the men, and they are going to keep it up. WWE probably has one of the best women's rosters I've ever seen. We saw Bayley and Lyra Valkyrie have a Pay-Per-View match on TV for free, with Lyra Valkyrie heading to SummerSlam to challenge Becky Lynch for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Title. I enjoyed the main event gauntlet; it made Bron Breakker look like a madman as he took out Jey Uso, LA Knight, and Penta. He looked strong, and the booking lately has been great, but it wasn't enough—GTS took him out for good as CM Punk wins and goes on to SummerSlam to challenge Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Afterward, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed jumped CM Punk as he was pointing at Gunther, but Jey Uso, who is banged up, came to save him. That wasn't enough until a man who had been gone for three months returned: Roman Reigns, the OTC1, made his long-awaited return to save CM Punk and Jey Uso from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. He looked great and rejuvenated, and the crowd went nuts. Amazing RAW. This has been the best year of RAW, with Triple H as the booker—just endless fun and chaos. Please fix SmackDown and make it like this.

The July 14th | Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: The Judgement Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) vs. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ***.50 | Very good tag team match. Raquel Rodriguez has been great since Night of Champions. The advice Kevin Nash gave her has changed her a lot because the style she wrestles now is much more suitable, and she has been doing great. Roxanne Perez looked awesome in this match; she and Raquel Rodriguez have fun tag team chemistry, and I like how The Judgement is becoming enjoyable again. The Kabuki Warriors were doing some solid tag work, and Kairi Sane looked much better in this back-and-forth with Asuka; she was phenomenal as well. Dominik Mysterio came out and disrupted the match, which allowed Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez to get the win. I like how the Women's Tag Titles have been looking strong. Keep this up because they can explore and make that division fun and exciting.

2nd Match: Lyra Valkryia vs. Bayley in a Two Out of Three Fall WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Number One Contenders Match | Match Rating: ****.75 | Match of the Night. I thought these ladies tore it down. Lyra Valkyria winning was the right call; she needed this to have her rubber match against Becky Lynch. That'll probably be the most I'm most excited for at SummerSlam, having to see Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria III. Also, Bayley is fantastic, she is just one of the best, and I'm glad she put over Lyra Valkryia because she helped big time now, Lyra Valkryia can take down another four horsewomen at SummerSlam. Also, hoping Bayley has something to do because I hope she reenters the World Title picture again soon, because she needs to duel with Naomi. But again amazing match between these two.

3rd Match: Nikki Bella vs. Chelsea Green (with Alba Fyre & Piper Niven) in a Singles Match | Match Rating: *.75 | Nikki Bella, I'm always thankful for the contributions she made to the Women's side of things for WWE. But this was her first RAW match since 2018, and she looked very sluggish, and the chemistry between her and Chelsea Green wasn't there. The match felt very flat and boring, but afterwards it seems like we see what Nikki Bella will be doing as now she'll feud with The Secret Hervice for SummerSlam, which I don't need to complain about because I enjoy that group and the wrestlers in it with Alba Frye, Chelsea Green & Piper Niven. It seems like Stephanie Vauqer will be in this feud as well, as she had some tension backstage while being interviewed, The Secret Hervice interrupted. But this was easily my least favorite match of the night, and I think Nikki Bella being alongside Stephanie Vaquer will help her in her feud against The Secret Hervice.

The Main Event Match: CM Punk vs. Bron Breakker (with Paul Heyman) vs. Jey Uso vs. LA Knight vs. Penta in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship Number One Contender Gauntlet Match | Match Rating: **** | I enjoyed the main event gauntlet; it made Bron Breakker look intense as he took out Jey Uso, LA Knight, and Penta. He appeared powerful, and the recent booking has been fantastic. However, it wasn't enough—GTS finally took him out for good, allowing CM Punk to win and head to SummerSlam to challenge Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Afterward, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed jumped CM Punk while he was pointing, being banged up, and came to his rescue. Just when it seemed like things couldn't get more intense, a familiar face returned after three months—Roman Reigns, the OTC1, made a triumphant comeback to save CM Punk at Gunther, but Jey Uso, despite and Jey Uso by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. He looked amazing and full of energy, and the crowd went wild!

The July 14th | WWE Monday Night RAW — The Match of the Night: Lyra Valkryia vs. Bayley in a Two Out of Three Fall WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Number One Contenders Match | Match Rating: ****.75

The July 14th | WWE Monday Night RAW — The Episode Grade: 8.75/10 (A-) — What an amazing show this episode of Monday Night RAW was for the ladies as they were the focus of this recent episode of Monday Night RAW. I loved that they highlighted the ladies. They need to do that more often with the roster they have, because it’s miles better than the males’ roster. But I enjoyed the episode. I thought three of the four matches on the show were enjoyable, mixed in with some fun segments. Monday Night RAW has been one of the best wrestling shows this year. I don’t get how SmackDown is that abysmal, but RAW got it down. Creative changes on SmackDown need to happen to make that show enjoyable again.
