My Thoughts on the July 21st Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Thoughts: This was a very enjoyable episode of Monday Night RAW, featuring further story development heading into SummerSlam. CM Punk and Gunther had their first promo segment, which was very well done.CM Punk is collaborating with someone he hasn’t worked with before, bringing a fresh dynamic that is much needed. The two women’s matches on the show were the highlight, demonstrating that women remain a key focus for WWE this year. The introduction of new challengers for the WWE World Tag Titles, like LWO, adds freshness and could help revive. I appreciate the RAW Tag Division. Overall, this was a well-organized episode, and RAW continues to deliver entertaining stories and good matches.

The July 21st | Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Sheamus vs. Rusev in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ***.75 | This was solid, not like the first match between the two, but it was very good. I like the fact Rusev came out of the gates on fire, and Sheamus is just one of the best TV Singles wrestlers in North America. He knows how to deliver. Rusev had a lot of offense. He had some nice moments. I thought when he hit The Accolade on Sheamus, it was over, but with a rope break, Sheamus still survived and had a chance to win. Rusev ripped open a metal piece on the turnbuckle, the same one he used to win the first match of this rivalry, but Sheamus used it to his advantage and hit the Brogue Kick to get the win to split the series 1-1. Now I hope the rubber match is at SummerSlam. It would bring a good match in the undercard for SummerSlam, so I hope the final match between these two in the feud is indeed on the 2nd Biggest PLE for WWE in SummerSlam. Having a solid undercard with fun matches does wonders. That's something that has been missing for the WWE PLE for quite some time.

2nd Match: L.W.O. (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) (with Dragon Lee) vs. American Made (Brutus Creed & Julius Creed) (with Ivy Nile) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) in a Triple Threat Tag Team Number One Contenders Match for the WWE World Tag Team Championships | Match Rating: ***.25 | This match was super fun and it was quick and we saw new fresh challengers for the WWE World Tag Team Titles. During the match, we saw El Grande Americano, and he kinda cost the Creed Brothers their chances. Same with The New Day; they were caught off guard and lost to Joaquin Wilde, who got the win for LWO and the oppertunity tof ight for the WWE World Tag Team Titles in the future. Now this should be the start of rejuvenating the RAW Tag Division that has benefited the lifeless majority of this year. LWO is getting the win. afreshness to the RAW Tag Division as new challengers get an opportunity to get a title shot, and I’ve been a huge advocate for Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde. They have been on Main Event Tapings for the majority of the year. On RAW, they showed people why they can be a very fun tag team because Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde were showing out like their life was depending on it. Now with them up next to face The Judgement Day for the WWE World Tag Team Titles. This could be a great start to give life to the RAW Tag Division and have someone like LWO get the titles and start having fun matches and bring back Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate to add on to this lifeless Tag Division. There’s a lot of work to be done, but I'm glad that Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde got the much-needed and deserved win.

3rd Match: The Judgement Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) (with Dominik Mysterio) (c) vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria in a Tag Team Title Match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships | Match Rating: **** | This was a very stellar match. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez are a fun unit as a Tag Team, and Raquel Rodriguez, since changing her wrestling style, has been lights out; she has been fun to watch. I like how the Women's Tag Division and Titles have been presented this year. This has been the best year it has been booked and looked. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria were fun as a team and had moments where they were about to win. Becky Lynch ruined their chances as she took out Lyra Valkyria in the match, which allowed The Judgement Day to win and retain the titles. All around a fun match, and the women have been killing it. They have been the best part of WWE this year, and they continue to have amazing matches all around.

4th Match: Karrion Kross (with Scarlett) vs. Sami Zayn in a Singles Match | Match Rating: **.75 | This match was okay. Karrion Kross, I’m a huge fan of him. I do like that they have been taking advantage of his rise this year and getting over with the crowd. Now, this match itself was okay. I thought some parts were sluggish and sloppy, but I do like the aspect. Karrion Kross got the win by using a metal pipe across Sami Zayn’s injured lower abdomen. Now, do they put the third match on SummerSlam? Or is it on the go-home show for SummerSlam? I know Karrion Kross hasn’t confirmed if he resigned with WWE, but it seems like with the recent push, new merch, and everything, and being in a major feud with one of the company’s top babyfaces, it seems like he’s back. I’m glad he has been pushed and beaten Sami Zayn, and I do hope he resigns, as they need a sort of Devil’s Advocate type of character on TV because it brings a lot of dynamic to whoever he feuds with, because he uses his tactics to get into people’s heads.

The Main Event Match: IYO SKY vs. Stephanie Vaquer in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ****.25 | Ah... IYO SKY vs. Stephanie Vaquer II, which ends again in a No Contest, as it was like with their first match on RAW after WrestleMania. I thought this match was so much fun, and I didn't want it to end. It's crazy how IYO SKY barely wrestled when she held the title. Now that the title is gone, she is back wrestling on RAW again. I do like how Stephanie Vaquer and IYO SKY were protected in this match, but eventually the third match will come, and we'll see a 25-30-minute match between these two shortly. This match ended when Alba Fyre and Piper Niven came with the WWE Women's World Title. Naomi attacked IYO SKY, but then Rhea Ripley, to a huge ovation, came out and made the save. I do love the focus on women because they have been carrying WWE, and they have one of the best rosters in the world for the women's side with all the star power.

The July 21st | WWE Monday Night RAW  The Match of the Night: IYO SKY vs. Stephanie Vaquer in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ****.25

The July 21st | WWE Monday Night RAW — Episode Grade: 7.50/10 (B) — This was a very fun episode of Monday Night RAW. We saw some more story building towards SummerSlam. CM Punk and Gunther had their first promo showdown, which was very good, and I like the fact that CM Punk is working with someone that he hasn’t before because it’s just fresh and much needed. The two women’s matches on the show were the best matches on the show, and go to show that the women continue to be the highlight for WWE this year. New challengers for WWE World Tag Titles in LWO, which is fresh, and this can help rebuild the RAW Tag Division. This was a very well put together episode, and RAW continues to be fun with fun stories and good matches.
