My Thoughts on the June 16th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:
My Thoughts: This was a very good episode of Monday Night RAW. The first forty minutes of RAW were around the women, which I liked more of that, and I'm glad Iyo Sky isn't in a backstage segment and opened the show. The Queen of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way was fun. I loved the in-ring action. Every person in that match knew their role, and we saw Asuka win, and now she is facing Alexa Bliss this Friday in the Semi-Finals of the Queen of the Ring Tournament. The new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, came out and taunted the fans until Goldberg made his return to WWE. Gunther and Goldberg had a brief, heated encounter at WWE Bad Blood last year in Atlanta, where Goldberg was restrained by security, but at WWE Saturday Night Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia, we'll see Gunther facing Goldberg as the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line. AJ Styles and JD McDonagh had a solid singles match where we saw AJ Styles win for the 2nd time in the month of June. Now, AJ Styles at Night of Champions will face Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Bayley and Becky Lynch had a very solid in-ring promo segment. Both women next week will fight as Becky Lynch's WWE Intercontinental Championship will indeed be on the line. Liv Morgan suffered injury against Kairi Sane on a dragon screw and I hope she gets better no one fault accidents happens and wishing Liv Morgan a speedy recovery. The ending of RAW was memorable as we saw numerous superstars from both brands be involved, including Penta, LA Knight, Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins. The match in the main event was electric; all men in the match did their thing. The only downside is that Bronson Reed got pinned on but he did get attacked by LA Knight. The aftermath of the match, the face off again with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, which I got pumped about, as that rivalry might be reopening shortly.
The June 16th | Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW | Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Asuka vs. Ivy Nile vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Stephanie Vaquer in a Queen of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way Match | Match Rating: **** | What a hell of an opener by all four of these women. The quality of this Fatal-Four Match to the ones on SmackDown for the women’s side is insane because this was amazing. Asuka looked sharp and had a big reaction as she was back after a year-long injury. Ivy Nile is extremely underrated and has been delivering solid performances each time she gets time in the ring. Raquel Rodriguez played her role as the powerhouse of the match, and Stephanie Vaquer looked great in this match. Now, Asuka will be going to SmackDown and face Alexa Bliss in the Semi-Final of the Queen of the Ring Tournament.
2nd Match: AJ Styles vs. JD McDonagh in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ***.25 | This was a solid match between the men. AJ Styles has looked solid in 2025 outside of the Logan Paul match, but this match with JD McDonagh, you can see AJ Styles still has that explosiveness and agility. JD McDonagh did his thing in this match and did a good job until the end. AJ Styles got the win and almost was jumped by The Judgement Day, but ran off with the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and he has a chance to win it at WWE Night of Champions. I do believe that Finn Bálor will finally turn on Dominik Mysterio at Night of Champions as well.
3rd Match: Kairi Sane vs. Liv Morgan in a Singles Match | Match Rating: N/A | This match never got started because of the unfortunate injury of Liv Morgan. She suffered a dislocated shoulder and will be out indefinitely. I wish her the best, and this isn’t Kairi Sane’s fault. Sometimes stuff just happens, it’s wrestling my thoughts and prayers to Liv Morgan, and again wish her a speedy recovery.
The Main Event Match: Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed (with Paul Heyman) vs. Rusev vs. Sheamus in a King of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way Match | Match Rating: ****.25 | A very overbooked match, but in terms of in-ring, it did indeed deliver. Ruisev and Sheamus had a marvelous showing. Rusev needs to be treated as a monster and win his pending feud with Sheamus because he can be a huge threat on the RAW Scene. Jey Uso had a decent showing. Bronson Reed played his monster role well; he was tearing everybody's cup. A lot of superstars came out like Bron Breakker, Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Penta & Seth Rollins. Jey Uso got the win and will advance to the Semi-Final Round, where he'll face Cody Rhodes in the Main Event of RAW next week.
The June 16th | WWE Monday Night RAW | The Match of the Night: Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed (with Paul Heyman) vs. Rusev vs. Sheamus in a King of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way Match | Match Rating: ****.25
The June 16th | WWE Monday Night RAW | Episode Grade: 7.50/10 (B) | This was a very solid all-around episode, which focused on the women for the most part, which I liked. The matches on the show were solid, outside of the untimely injury to Liv Morgan. The King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring Semi-Final Matches are set in stone, and I’m excited for it.
