My Thoughts on the June 9th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Thoughts: This was the best episode of Monday Night RAW this year. The lineup that was presented was insane, as every match looked to be a banger, which indeed all were. I liked the opening segment of CM Punk and WWE Champion John Cena. I thought it was solid, and CM Punk fighting at Saudi Arabia kinda shocked me as his past comments about that country, but we have our Main Event for Night of Champions. The opening match was fun as AJ Styles defeated El Gr- I mean Chad Gable in a solid, quick match. AJ Styles, as of late, has had a bigger role on RAW as he's involved in many stories really happy to see one of the best wrestlers of all-time be involved in a lot of programs at this moment in time. The first Queen of the Ring Fatal Four Way was solid. I expected Rhea Ripley to win, but Roxanne Perez got the win as she got the sneaky pin to advance into the next round of the Queen of the Ring Tournament. Ron Killings came out and cut an amazing promo and proceeded to cut his locs off and signaling he's now his own man and not comedic puppet loved this if you ever saw Ron Killings in TNA when he was serious, he was an amazing promo cutter, so I'm excited to see how this goes. Sami Zayn advances in the King of the Ring tournament as he pinned the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio to win, and we saw LA Knight cost Bron Breakker a chance at winning as he hit a BFT and ran off. This was another solid Fatal-Four Way Match. We had four good wrestlers, so you had to expect it to steal the show. Nikki Bella returned, and Liv Morgan ruined her return in her home state of Arizona and laid her out. Gunther is now a 2x WWE World Champion as he dethroned Jey Uso in the Main Event. Amazing show, and next week's card is looking very solid. I'm glad that the fallout episode of RAW delivered big-time.

The June 9th | Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW | Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: AJ Styles vs. Chad Gable (with Brutus Creed & Julius Creed) in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ***.50 | AJ Styles had a solid bout with Chad Gable, as this match was pending after AJ Styles blasted Chad Gable weeks back in a backstage segment. Chad Gable is all banged up and still went out there and performed not at 100% as he had an amazing match with El Hijo del Vikingo in the Main Event of Worlds Collide. AJ Styles had another solid outing and got the win. I'm really happy AJ Styles and Chad Gable have been in a lot of matches as of late. The match quality on RAW has improved in recent months, which I'm very happy about.

2nd Match: Roxanne Perez vs. Kairi Sane vs. Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley in a Queen of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way Match | Match Rating: ****.25 | This was a very fun Fatal-Four Way Queen of the Ring Match. I didn't expect Roxanne Perez to win. I thought Rhea Ripley was going to win this whole tournament, but Roxanne Perez got the major victory, which she needed. The first half of the match was okay, but the 2nd half is when everything kicked up.

3rd Match: Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Penta in a King of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way Match | Match Rating: **** | This was a hoot. I thought this entire match was very fun. Sami Zayn looked great, I enjoyed the Penta interaction, wish they had a match in the future. Bron Breakker looked like an absolute stud in this match, but LA Knight ruined his chances of winning, which signals a feud in the future between LA Knight and the Seth Rollins Stable. Sami Zayn got the win over WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio to advance to the next round of the King of the Ring tournament.

The Main Event Match: Jey Uso (c) vs. Gunther in a Singles Title Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship | Match Rating: ****.50 | Gunther is finally a 2x World Champion in WWE. Jey Uso's reign ends at 51 days, as his reign was very uneventful, and I'm not shocked, as I expected that. But this was a hell of a match. This was the best match between these match in their history of fighting each other. Gunther's win had the fans shocked, and even me shocked. I thought the match there was going to be a lot of people coming out and a Money in the Bank cash-in tease, but now Gunther is back on top of the RAW Brand.

The June 9th | WWE Monday Night RAW | The Match of the Night: Jey Uso (c) vs. Gunther in a Singles Title Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship | Match Rating: ****.50

The June 9th | WWE Monday Night RAW | Episode Grade: 9.25/10 (A) | This was easily the best Monday Night RAW Episode of this year. We have the first CM Punk and John Cena encounter since Elimination Chamber. The King and Queen of the Ring Fatal-Four Way Matches were solid. The Main Event, we have a new World Champion in Gunther, as he is a 2x WWE World Champion in WWE.
