My Thoughts on the February 23rd Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Thoughts: Outside of the Je’Von Evans and Kofi Kingston match, and the AJ Styles tribute—which was very well done—I genuinely felt so happy for AJ Styles. Now that he’s officially on his way to the WWE Hall of Fame, it was a really emotional and deserved moment. Unfortunately, everything else around those segments made this episode feel like one of the most lackluster Monday Night RAWs I’ve watched since they moved over to Netflix. The first hour was especially rough. It was filled with unfortunate mishaps involving Bronson Reed, which completely took me out of the show. The pacing felt off, the segments didn’t flow naturally, and instead of building momentum, it just dragged. On top of that, the ongoing Maxxine Dupri storyline with Natalya hasn’t been great. It doesn’t feel compelling, the character work isn’t clicking, and the crowd reactions reflect that lack of interest. Rather than adding depth to the women’s division, it feels like filler that could have been used to build other talent or stories. The main event itself was okay, but nothing particularly special. I was genuinely surprised to see Raquel Rodriguez pick up the win, as I didn’t expect her to be the one getting that kind of spotlight in this spot. While it’s nice to see new faces getting opportunities, the way it was built up throughout the night didn’t make the finish feel as impactful or meaningful as it could have been. Overall, RAW has been putrid in recent weeks. They’ll have a few solid segments or matches sprinkled throughout the show, but as a whole, it feels like the product has regressed after having a pretty solid 2025. The storytelling is inconsistent, the pacing is off, and too many feuds feel like they’re just spinning their wheels instead of moving forward with purpose. The show clearly needs some fixing—whether that’s tightening up the writing, shifting the focus to more engaging rivalries, or simply improving how the episodes are structured from hour to hour. Next week, there are some matches already announced that look promising on paper, so there’s potential for a rebound. Still, based on what we got tonight, this episode was overall not enjoyable. Aside from the Je’Von Evans vs. Kofi Kingston match and the AJ Styles tribute, there wasn’t much that made this RAW feel must-see, which is disappointing given how strong the brand was not too long ago.

The February 23rd Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed vs. The Original El Grande Americano in a Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Triple Threat Match | The Match Rating: ** — A very unfortunate match because of the untimely injury that caused Bronson Reed to be taken out of the match completely. Reported by WrestleVotes, Bronson Reed was supposedly going to win this match, with sheinagines happening that promptly helped Bronson Reed win his match. But it turned into a Singles Match between Chad Gable and Jey Uso, which felt very off because the whole match derailed as Bronson Reed was supposed to win this match. Jey Uso even looked dejected in this match, as he won this match and is the final entry in the Men's Elimination Chamber Match.

The 2nd Match: Nattie vs. Maxxine Dupri in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Another wasted match slotted on this show. As the match lasted 98 seconds, Nattie was plummeting Maxxine Dupri. Nattie won via Referee Stoppage. I don’t have much to say about this match, as this feud is pointless. These minutes could’ve been given to someone like Lyra Valkyria, but we instead get a 90-second match between Maxxine Dupri and Nattie. I have a lot of issues with this match because it just didn’t even have a purpose in this episode.

The 3rd Match: Je’Von Evans (with Offset) vs. Kofi Kingston (with Grayson Waller & Xavier Woods) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This was so much fun, having Je'Von Evans taking on Kofi Kingston was sick. I always been a fan of Kofi Kingston, but seeing him go in 2026 is always a treat. But this match was like I said, a lot of fun. Je'Von Evans had Offset by his side for this match, as he needed some protection, as the New Day were also at ringside for Kofi Kingston, Grayson Waller, and an injured Xavier Woods, who were wearing a sling. But Je'Von Evans and Kofi Kingston had solid chemistry in this match. I really enjoyed seeing these two go at it. Je'Von Evans, in certain moments in this match, took flight because the height he caught was insane. But Je'Von Evans gets his biggest win to date as he defeated a former World Champion. Now, with this momentum, he is heading to the Men's Elimination Chamber with a lot of good momentum.

The Main Event Match: Raquel Rodriguez vs. IYO SKY vs. Kairi Sane in a Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Triple Threat Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — This was an okay Main Event match, I didn’t expect the outcome that occured as I didn’t see Raquel Rodriguez punching her ticket into the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match but it was very unpredictable as everyone expected IYO SKY to head her way into that match but I guess they didn’t want IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley going up against each other. At one point, when Kairi Sane pulled off IYO SKY, I thought she was about to win the match, but Raquel Rodriguez found a way, and now it’s in play to potentially go after the WWE Women’s Title. This was an okay match. I expected more, but how the episode been going was not surprising.

The February 23rd Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW  The Match of the Night: Je’Von Evans (with Offset) vs. Kofi Kingston (with Grayson Waller & Xavier Woods) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — Probably the only match that was very fun to watch from this horrendous episode, probably the worst episode of RAW since joining Netflix. But this was fun, the past vs. the present, and Je’Von Evans got his biggest win on date as he defeated a former World Champion, as well as added momentum before his Men’s Elimination Chamber Match this coming Saturday in Chicago, Illinois.

The February 23rd Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Episode Grade: 4.50/10 (D+) — Outside of the Je’Von Evans and Kofi Kingston Match, including the AJ Styles Tribute, which was well-done, I genuinely was so happy for AJ Styles now he’s on his way to the WWE Hall of Fame, this was probably one of the most lackluster Monday Night RAW Episode’s I’ve watched since they joined on Netflix. Like the first hour was filled with unfortunate mishaps with Bronson Reed, then the Maxxine Dupri stuff with Nattie hasn’t been great. The Main Event was okay. I didn’t expect Raquel Rodriguez to get the win. But RAW has been putrid in recent weeks. They’ll have some solid things on the show, but overall, the show regressed after having a solid 2025. But they need some fixing to do. Next week, there are some matches that are slated that look good, but this one tonight was overall not enjoyable.
