My Official Thoughts on the April 28th Episode of WWE NXT:

My Official Thoughts: An interesting episode, we saw so many debuts of people who came from EVOLVE, Europe Independent Scene, NJPW, and NOAH-Pro. It was very cool to see. I never heard of Will Kroos, but based on his first impression, I'll be investing. We saw Tate Wilder, Tavion Heights, and Lizzy Rain all make an impact. NXT feels young and fresh across the board. There are probably two veterans now in NXT: EVIL & Shawn Spears, as everyone else is young and ready to get going. Even with EVIL debuting, that was crazy. I'm not a fan of his because his work in NJPW wasn't good, but I think he'll do fine in NXT. But this episode basically felt like the major reset of NXT, and almost everyone is young and fresh, which is going to make for some exciting TV. Can't wait to see how NXT is from here to the end of the year, rumor has it they aren't done debuting people as rumored. Hirmou Takahashi is expected to join NXT from NJPW. So it's very fun times for NXT.

The April 28th Episode of WWE NXT — My Official Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Myles Borne (c) vs. Saquon Shugars (with Cutler James, Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) in a WWE NXT North American Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — This was a solid opener, Lucky Ali finally getting his 1st Singles Title oppertunity, as he has tension with Dion Lennox in DarkState. But this match started very clunky in my opinion. The chemistry was there, but there were moments where it felt like some of the sequences could've been done better. The ending of the match with Dion Lennox trying to nail a chair-shot to Myles Borne but Saquon Shugars told him otherwise is great to continue to wedge the fracture that's brewing in DarkState as I hope this leads to Saquon Shugars Singles Run as in my opinion he's the most talented Male Wrestler in NXT at the moment. But Myles Borne wins, but new talents have arrived to make their presence known as NXT is ongoing, a new roster reset for the Men's & Women's Division.

The 2nd Match: EK Prosper & Sean Legacy vs. The Birth Right (Channing Lorenzo & Uriah Connors) (with Arianna Grace, Charlie Dempsey & Lexis King) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — Such a Sick Tag Team Match, I was like damn Dorian Van Dux is out, so I thought someone was debuting but Sean Legacy took his spot, and we had a very tag team match. The tag team of EK Prosper & Sean Legacy just screams something Paul Heyman would've booked in the 2002-2004 SmackDown Era. The in-ring action against Channing Lorenzo & Uriah Connors was loads of fun, and EK Prosper is probably been my favorite debut for NXT this year he just so smooth in the ring and he just touching the sirface as a wrestler in the end EK Prosper & Sean Legacy got the win but afterwards Birth Rith attacked until Tate Wilder made his NXT Debut from WWE EVOLVE as he help to fight off Birth Right. This was a lot of fun, and NXT is getting so many Cruiserweight Style Wrestlers.

The 3rd Match: Lizzy Rain vs. Nikkita Lyons in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — This was a very rocking victory for Lizzy Rain, who, in my eyes, is going to get super over and be one of the next stars that’s built within NXT. She just has it. When you watched her in this match, she was moving very smoothly, and the fans already liked her. Nikkita Lyons tried to fight back, but it wasn’t enough. Lizzy Rain got the win, and I won’t be shocked if she wins a title within NXT this year, presumably the WWE NXT Women’s North American Title.

The 4th Match: Kelani Jordan vs. Wren Sinclair (with Kendal Grey) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ** — This match felt very flat, and both women in this match, I'm a fan of Wren Sinclair, a good technical wrestler, and Kelani Jordan has found her footing and been one of the underrated acts in NXT. But this match, the chemistry didn’t mesh together, and the match felt like it was dragging. Like on paper, these two could've had a great match, but it just didn't give whatsoever. I thought the match would've started to turn up, but it didn't hit any gear. Kelani Jordan got the win at the end, which is good. She needed the win after losing the feud to Jaida Parker recently, but I'm intrigued if this leads to a match against Kendal Grey.

The Main Event Match: Shiloh Hill vs. Ricky Saints in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — Final Match of Ricky Saints’ NXT Tenure, as he's moving to SmackDown with his Main Roster call up happening after being in NXT for 14-Months. He took on the young up-and-comer and the winner of Season Two LFG in Shiloh Hill, who has been growing on me with his hilarious gimmick and cool friendship with Tatum Paxley. But this match was decent, some funny moments, and nice for Shiloh Hill getting the win as a good put-over from Ricky Saints. Now, Ricky Saint’s tenure in NXT is over as he won the WWE NXT Title & WWE NXT North American Title. Multiple NXT PLE Main Events had a great showing. I enjoyed him in AEW & NXT, hoping on SmackDown, he does well because he can be a great Upper-Card Heel chasing the WWE United States Title.

The April 28th Episode of WWE NXT — My Match of the Night: EK Prosper & Sean Legacy vs. The Birth Right (Channing Lorenzo & Uriah Connors) (with Arianna Grace, Charlie Dempsey & Lexis King) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — Just a simple, fun, fast-paced Tag Team. If EK Prosper & Sean Legacy continue as a Tga Team, I do hope they’re the ones who defeat Vanity Project for the NXT Tag Team Titles, and also seeing Tate Wilder debut was awesome; he would fit in the WWE NXT North American Title Division.

The April 28th Episode of WWE NXT — My Official Episode Grade: 7.25/10 (B-) — Great episode, as they debuted numerous male talents to the NXT Male Side, as they needed that after losing a lot of major pieces due to Main Roster call-ups.This episode had some solid matches, but the talking point is the debuts, and it has been getting positive feedback. NXT looks like it’s going to be fun. I love the fact that everyone is a fresh new talent. It brings excitement and freshness. I’m excited to see how NXT goes from here on out.
