My Official Thoughts on the May 19th Episode of WWE NXT:

My Official Thoughts: This was a solid episode of NXT. I’m really glad Saquon Shuagrs is getting a run as a singles star now. If you’ve watched him as Lucky Ali in DPW, you already know he has true main-event caliber talent. I liked the WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Match, and I thought Will Kroos made a strong impression in his debut. NXT has gone through a lot of changes, but that’s the point of a developmental brand. The future of NXT looks bright.

The May 19th Episode of WWE NXT — My Official Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Kam Hendrix & Mason Rook vs. Myles Borne & Tony D’Angelo in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — A very average Tag Team Match, I loved what I saw from Mason Rook, but for Kam Hendrix, not so much. He needs to drop that emote; it isn't 2018 anymore. But Tavion Heights accidentally costing Myles Borne was solid, because it gave me the idea that Tavion Heights will be a heel soon, and chase after the WWE NXT North American Title. Tony D'Angelo has a lot of people eying him and his NXT Title. So average match, but I like some bits & pieces of it.

The 2nd Match: Tristan Angels vs. Romeo Monreno (with Noam Dar) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: *** — Now this right here are two wrestlers that I think will make big noise in WWE. Tristan Angels gives me a heelish, cocky vibe, and Romeo Monroe is someone I'm high on seeing his previous work. But this match was decent, I can't complain about it. Noam Dar looks to be the mentor for Romeo Monroe, which is going to be something I can see working, but Tristan Angels has something, and he can be very good within NXT.

The 3rd Match: Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Lizzy Rain in a WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — Lizzy Rain is going to be a major player in WWE for a very long time. She already carries herself like a star, and performances like this only reinforce that feeling. I thought this match was very solid from start to finish. I really liked the aftermath of the match. Zaria stepping up as the next challenger adds a fresh layer of intrigue to the WWE NXT Women’s North American Title picture. It’s clear she’s being positioned as a serious threat, and putting her on a collision course with the champion makes the title scene feel more important. If this is the direction they continue with, both Lizzy Rain and Zaria are going to be central to the women’s division for a long time to come.

The 4th Match: Keanu Carver vs. Tate Wilder in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Keanu Carver I like, but his in-ring skills need a lot of polishing. Tate Wilder did decent, but this match wasn't it for me. I thought this match was the worst match from this episode of NXT. Now, Keanu Carver can be a superstar, but the in-ring needs to be cleaned up tremendously.

The Main Event Match: The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) (with Jackson Drake & Myka Lockwood) (c) vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox & Saquon Shugars) (with Cutler James & Osiris Griffin) in a WWE NXT Tag Team Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — A decent Main Event, am I happy with the aftermath, yes. Because Lucky Ali is about to be unleahsed, one of the most talented people on this NXT Roster is now a Singles Star, Saquon Shugars is a Superstar ready to breakout, Vanity Project got the win, and DarkState attacked leaving everyone in shocked, but this was coming and I'm glad that Saquon Shugars is alone because if you watched him in DPW and seen his promos when he was hurt on Twitter you know he has everything to be a superstar.

The May 19th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — My Match of the Night: Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Lizzy Rain in a WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — Lizzy Rain is going to be a major player in WWE for a very long time. I thought this match was very solid. I liked the aftermath of the match as Zaria is now next in the pursuit of the WWE NXT Women’s North American Title.

The May 19th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — My Official Episode Grade: 6.50/10 (C) — Decent Episode of NXT. I’m so happy that Saquon Shuagrs is a singles star now. If you’ve seen him as Lucky Ali in DPW, you know this dude has Main Event Level Talent. I enjoyed the WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Match, and I thought Will Kroos looked good in his debut match. NXT has changed a lot, but that’s why it’s a development brand. The future looks strong in NXT.
