My Official Review of the October 27th Episode of WWE NXT:
My Official Review: There was three matches off this show that I really enjoyed but overall a very solid episode way better than the last two episodes they put out on NXT. A few highlights from this show were Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno, who have been having an amazing string of matches, beating RAW and SmackDown Tag Teams, and now defeating the WWE NXT Tag Team Champions as they move on to the Finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, as Cody Rhodes will present the winner with the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Trophy. I thought Chantel Monroe had a very promising debut, as she has a bright future within WWE. Saquon Shugars suffering another loss sucks, but Sean Legacy gaining a win is needed for his momentum, even though I wished Saquon Shugars had gotten the win. We now know what'll happen for Myles Borne and Tavion Heights match at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc as the stakes were raised. Hank and Tank move on to the Finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, defeating the AAA World Tag Team Champions, the Wagner Brothers, as they are now one win away from being the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Winners. We saw EK Prosper deliver an awesome performance against Jackson Drake but coming up short due to Kam Hendrix costing EK Prosper the chance of becoming the WWE NXT North American Champion. Solid episode NXT next week looks solid with Cody Rhodes and John Cena appearing so hoping for a good show next week with the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals taking place as well.
My Official Match Ratings for the October 27th WWE NXT Episode:
The Opening Match: Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno vs. The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) (with Myka Lockwood) in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Semifinals Match | My Match Rating: ****.50 — This was a great match. Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno have defeated Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate on Monday Night RAW, and Fraxiom's Axiom and Nathan Frazer on SmackDown. Now they've defeated The Vanity Project, the WWE NXT Tag Team Champions. They have had one of the best stretches of any WWE Tag Team this year. They've got the chance to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament next week, as they'll have to take on Hank And Tank, who defeated the AAA World Tag Team Champions. This was an amazing match, and what a performance by Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno. WWE Main Roster should be lucky they have a good group of talent down in NXT that can save the Tag Team Division on the Main Roster.
The 2nd Match: Chantel Monroe vs. Lizzy Rain in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: **.75 — A solid first impression of Chantel Monroe, and I'm high on her. I do think she can succeed in NXT. Lizzy Rain was a good first opponent for her. I think Chantel Monroe did a good job on the basics of wrestling, and she looked very solid very shocked Lizzy Rain lost, but this upset win was good for Chantel Monroe. Momentum is good; I'm really hoping she has a good run in NXT.
The 3rd Match: Sean Legacy vs. Saquon Shugars in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: *** — Saquon Shugars’ losing streak continues as his luck hasn't gotten any better. These two have history dating back to the Indies, but this match was decent. There were some clunky moments, but there were some moments the chemistry wasn't gelling well. But, shockingly enough, Saquon Shygars suffered a loss. I do think he has a bright future in WWE, but this string of losses leads me to believe maybe he leans back into the meaner streak attitude that made him awesome in the Indies and DPW? We'll see.
The 4th Match: Hank And Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) vs. The Wagner Brothers (El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno) in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Semifinals Match | My Match Rating: ***.25 — A solid Semifinals Match between Hank And Tank and The Wagner Brothers, who are the AAA World Tag Team Champions, was very shocking that The Wagner Brothers lost as this was the 4th Upset from this episode as this episode was filled with upsets and shockers so this was great for Hank And Tank hopefully after facing Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno in the Finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament they can help out the WWE Tag Team Division on the Main Roster.
The Main Event Match: Jackson Drake (with Brad Baylor, Myka Lockwood & Ricky Smokes) (c) vs. EK Prosper in a WWE NXT North American Title Match | My Match Rating: ****.25 — A very good Main Event; we've gotten a new feud for EK Prosper as the man who gets cooked on X all the time returned, and Kam Hendrix made an issue with EK Prosper costing him the match. But this match showed a lot of great moments for Jackson Drake and EK Prosper, as both delivered a very well-rounded WWE NXT North American Title Match. What I take away from this is that WWE is high on both superstars, as they possess very good in-ring skills. What I'm upset about is another filler feud for EK Prosper, as he'll be having to deal with Kam Hendrix for the next month or so, and I really hope this is a one-match-and-done feud because I would like EK Prosper to be the one who dethrones Jackson Drake in the future so he can win the WWE NXT North American Title.
My Official Match of the Night for the October 27th Episode of WWE NXT: Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno vs. The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) (with Myka Lockwood) in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Semifinals Match | My Match Rating: ****.50 — What a great match! Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno have defeated Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate on RAW, Fraxiom on SmackDown, and now NXT Tag Team Champions The Vanity Project. They’ve had one of WWE’s best tag-team runs this year and can win next week’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic against Hank and Tank, who defeated the AAA World Tag Team Champions. What a performance! The main roster should be grateful NXT has the talent to help save its tag team division.
My Official Highlight of the Show for the October 27th Episode of WWE NXT: Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno Best Tag Team in WWE — Beating Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate, Axiom and Nathan Frazer, and now the WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Vanity Project. They've been on an insane stretch as they are one win away from winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic as they take on Hank And Tank in the Finals next week, with Cody Rhodes presenting the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Winners next week on NXT.
My October 27th Official Episode Grade for WWE NXT: 7.50/10 (B) — I enjoyed three matches on this show, and overall, it was a strong episode that improved on NXT’s previous two. Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno advanced to the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals, while Hank and Tank also moved on after defeating the Wagner Brothers. Chantel Monroe had an impressive debut, Sean Legacy gained momentum, and the stakes were raised for Myles Borne and Tavion Heights at Halloween Havoc. EK Prosper performed well against Jackson Drake but lost his title opportunity after Kam Hendrix interfered. Next week’s episode looks promising with Cody Rhodes, John Cena, and the tournament finals.
