The January 6th | Episode of WWE NXT New Year’s Evil — The Episode Rundown:

  • The Ruler of WWE, Oba Femi he has crushed opponents and ended people's dreams, and he will be looking to do that as he takes on Leon Slater tonight in the Main Event of WWE New Year’s Evil. Leon Slater earned this opportunity dating several weeks in a Number One Contenders Fatal-Four Way Match. Leon Slater shocked the WWE Universe and earned his spot to get the NXT Title Match. Leon Slater is the current TNA X-Division Champion and is looking to become the 1st non-WWE talent to hold a Major World Title in WWE as he looks to become a double champion tonight.

  • After an outstanding Iron Survivor Performance, Kendal Grey earned her shot at the WWE Women's NXT Title. She has been gaining momentum and stacking wins. She's the current WWE EVOLVE Women's Champion and is looking to take down Jacy Jayne to become a Double Champion and the Face of the WWE NXT Women's Division. Will she manage to do it tonight?

  • Thea Hail shocked the NXT Universe as she defeated Blake Monroe to earn her first piece of gold in WWE. Blake Monroe, as of late, looks to have lost her edge as she looks depressed and out of it since losing her WWE NXT Women's North American Title, but she has a chance tonight to regain that as the rematch takes place.

  • Tatum Paxley wants to end Izzi Dame. After what Izzi Dame did a couple of months back to cost Tatum Paxley her WWE NXT Women’s Title, she wants to put a hurting and vicious beating on Izzi Dame, and that looks to be happening tonight as they face off, and Tatum Paxley wants to end the existence of Izzi Dame.

  1. Oba Femi (c) vs. Leon Slater in a WWE NXT Title Match.

  2. Jacy Jayne (with Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) (c) vs. Kendal Grey (with Wren Sinclair) in a WWE NXT Women’s Title Match.

  3. Thea Hail (c) vs. Blake Monroe in a WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Match.

  4. Izzi Dame vs. Tatum Paxley in a Singles Match.
