Thoughts of the Premium Live Event, WWE Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver, Canada Live Event Show:
Thoughts: The show started off rough with the first two matches not hitting to standards. But the last three matches they saved the show, and those matches delivered big time. I thought this Survivor Series PLE was solid and was a great way to be the last PLE of 2024. The match of the night was indeed the Men's WarGame Match as it was such a fun match. I really hope next year they can change it up and make it a Traditional 5 vs. 5 Matches again with something on the line but a very solid event and not mad about it.
WWE Premium Live Event, WWE Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver, Canada Match Ratings:
The Show Opener Match: Bayley, Bianca Belair, Iyo Sky, Naomi, and Rhea Ripley vs. Candice LeRae, Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, and Tiffany Stratton in the Women's WarGames Match - Match Rating: ** - Sucks that this match didn't live up to standards as it was star - studded on both sides. It was sloppy, and many miscues happened. Iyo Sky was the MVP as she kinda saved the match towards the end but disappointing because I was excited for this match mainly for Bianca Belair, and Iyo Sky. Nia Jax looked so sloppy in this match her chair shots looked so sloppy & effortless. The whole match was a mess sadly. I hope the Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan stuff end soon because that hasn't been a fun watch on RAW. Next year need to switch it up with a Traditional Style Survivor Series.
2nd Match: LA Knight (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE United States Championship - Match Rating: **.75 - They should've just had this match as a Main Event of a SmackDown because they didn't really like a PLE Match. Was very surprised that Shinsuke Nakamura won the title after returning only less than three weeks ago. But I'm assuming they only doing this so he can show the title when he goes to NOAH - Pro Wrestling for the match he's scheduled to do in January. I do see LA Knight winning the title back soon but very shocked his reign just ended like that when they could have had Carmelo Hayes or Andrade take the belt off him.
3rd Match: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Ludwig Kaiser vs. Sheamus in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship - Match Rating: ****.25 - This was such a fun match. This saved the show in a sense because the first two matches were okay but not up to a PLE Standard. Ludwig Kaiser was balling in this match. Sheamus as usual in Triple Threat Matches shined and had some crazy spots & moments. Bron Breakker was spearing the hell out of everyone his spear to Ludwig Kaiser must be one of my favorite spears of all time because everyone got on their feet after that moment. Bron Breakker retains in a crazy bout. I really hope they just put Bron Breakker on every PLE from here on out because he never has bad matches and keeps on showing people why he's the future face of this company.
4th Match: Gunther (c) vs. Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship - Match Rating: **** - Wasn't like their SummerSlam Match but it wasn't bad still a very solid bout. Damian Priest & Gunther have very good chemistry when they face each other, and it was evident in this match. The heat for this match wasn't there but the fans still were enjoying the match. Finn Balor coming out did catch me off guard because I thought that feud was 100% done because it didn't hit as I thought it would've hit back when they feud in August - October. But Gunther retains and Damian Priest restarts his feud with The Judgement Day. I wonder who's next for Gunther I really hope it's either Drew McIntyre or CM Punk.
The Main Event Match: The Original Bloodline (Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Roman Reigns, and Sami Zayn) & CM Punk vs. The New Bloodline (Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa) & Bronson Reed in the Men's WarGames Match - Match Rating: ****.50 - This was the Match of the Night for me as this match was exciting from start to finish. CM Punk & Roman Reigns had some tension between each other as they were being petty towards each other. Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu were the MVPs of this match as Jimmy Uso looked like a million bucks in this match. Jacob Fatu was just a menace in this match. Roman Reigns & CM Punk put their differences aside to come together and put on a solid team effort victory. Solo Sikoa got finisher spammed as every member hit their finisher on him to end the match. A great way to end the show as the last three matches of the show delivered.
WWE Premium Live Event, WWE Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver, Canada Match of the Night: The Original Bloodline (Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Roman Reigns, and Sami Zayn) & CM Punk vs. The New Bloodline (Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa) & Bronson Reed in the Men's WarGames Match - Match Rating: ****.50
WWE Premium Live Event, WWE Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver, Canada Show Grade: 8.25/10 (B+) - The final three matches of the show really saved the show. I thought the Triple Threat Match was super fun. The World Title Match was great with an interesting finish. Solo Sikoa Bloodline was taken down by The Original Bloodline and CM Punk.
