Thoughts of the Premium Live Event, WWE SummerSlam in Cleveland:

Thoughts: This was very fun SummerSlam, I wouldn't say it was the greatest because people been saying that. But it was an enjoyable PPV. We saw four new champions, and saw major returns. Now what I hope for now is a major reset, and we see new feuds, and now RAW & SmackDown can be consistently good with majority of the superstars back. Much needed show, with a hopefully much needed reset.

The Shows’ Match Ratings:

Opening Match: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley (with Dominik Mysterio) for the WWE Women's World Championship - Match Rating: ***.75 - This was a fun opener. It started off slow but towards the end it picked up and we saw the turn of Dominik Mysterio after betraying Rhea Ripley and be with Liv Morgan.

2nd Match: Bron Breakker vs. Sami Zayn (c) for the WWE Intercontinental Championship - Match Rating: ** - Very much of a let down because I thought this was gonna be the show stealer of a match. But I'm happy that Bron Breakker finally got his main roster moment and is the new WWE Intercontinental Champion.

3rd Match: LA Knight vs. Logan Paul (c) for the WWE United States Championship - Match Rating: ****.25 - LA Knight delivered one of his best matches in his WWE Career. Logan Paul had a great showing as well. But there was many spots that I enjoyed, especially the fisherman buster off the top rope, and I love the springboard moonsault to the outside from Logan Paul. I thought Logan Paul had the match once he hit the brass knuckles on LA Knight he was gonna win but then LA Knight hit the B.F.T. So happy for LA Knight he claw his way to get a champion proud of him.

4th Match: Nia Jax vs. Bayley (c) for the WWE Women's Championship - Match Rating: ***.75 - This was a fun match, many fun spots, and the moment of the match for me was when Bayley powerbombed Nia Jax that was insane. But we have a new champion in Nia Jax which I don't mind sooner than later we'll see the turn of Tiffany Stratton and she will cash in and be the new Women's Champion.

5th Match: Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk with Seth "Freakin" Rollins as the Special Guest Referee - Match Rating: **** - I really enjoyed that match with CM Punk & Drew McIntyre the blood heated feud match delivered. The Seth Rollins tactics were okay some were over the top but overall this match delivered for me and CM Punk had a solid showing he didnt look horrible he looked very solid. The storytelling in this match was very solid, I just didnt like when Seth kept doing goofy stuff because it just wasnt needed but the GTS to Rollins was sick. Drew McIntyre got his win, and now is 1-0 against Punk I dont think this is over.

6th Match: Gunther vs. Damian Priest (c) for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship - Match Rating: ****.50 - This was the match of the night. Gunther & Damian Priest had great chemistry. Finn Bálor costed his ex - stablemate the chance of retaining and helped Gunther become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

The Main Event: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Solo Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship - Match Rating: **.75 - Solo Sikoa isn't a main event star, nor is he a fun wrestler to watch. Cody Rhodes was doing his best Johnny Gargano (2018) impression because he was kicking out of everything. Then we saw the returns of Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, and Roman Reigns to came to help Cody Rhodes. Now with Roman Reigns back the ending chapter to The Bloodline story can start.

Match of the Night: Gunther vs. Damian Priest (c) for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship - Match Rating: ****.50

WWE Premium Live Event, WWE SummerSlam in Cleveland Show Grade: 7.75/10 (B) - This show overdelivered for me. I enjoyed majority of the matches on the show outside of the main event, and Intercontinental Championship Match. I thought the break - up of The Judgement Day was booked right. And the return of Roman Reigns was probably the moment of the show for me. Overall solid PPV can't wait for Monday Night RAW and the start of the new stories, and hopefully a much needed reset.
