3rd Match: Gunther (c) defeats Finn Balor and Damian Priest in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship via Pin - Fall (11:05) - TITLE RETAINED!!!!
4th Match: Chelsea Green defeats Michin in the Final Round for the (Vacant) WWE Women's United States Championship via Pin - Fall (8:05) - TITLE CHANGE!!!!
The Main Event Match: Cody Rhodes (c) defeats Kevin Owens for the WWE Championship via Pin - Fall (12:00) - TITLE RETAINED!!!!
Thoughts on the December 14th, Edition of WWE Saturday Night Main Event:
Thoughts: I thought this was a fun show from start to finish. The pacing of the show and how they went to the next match quick was nice because how they were trying to squeeze in five matches in a two - hour span. I liked every match on the card. I'm very happy that Chelsea Green is the first ever WWE Women's United States Champion. I'm really happy that they gonna be WWE Saturday's Night Main Event four times next year. Very excited to see the aftermath on RAW and SmackDown.

The Opening Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn in a Singles Match - Match Rating: ***.50 - This was a very fun opener. I like how the match started right away with Sami Zayn going at Drew McIntyre off the start. I thought the pace of the match was very good. Drew McIntyre got Sami Zayn with the Claymore to secure the win. Now Drew McIntyre is after the Bloodline as he said 1 down and four more to go which indicate what his next intentions are. The end game is Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns but now roles reversed with Drew McIntyre as the heel and Roman Reigns as the face. Gonna be a interesting road to WrestleMania.
2nd Match: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Iyo Sky for the WWE Women's World Championship - Match Rating: ***.25 - This was one of Liv Morgan better title defenses in recent memory. I thought the chemistry between the two was there. I wanted Iyo Sky to get the win but she has bigger things as she's many predicted winner for next year Royal Rumble Match. But now Liv Morgan will most likely face Rhea Ripley next as after the match she appeared next to her and had a stare down.
3rd Match: Gunther (c) vs. Finn Balor vs. Damian Priest in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship - Match Rating: ***.75 - The Match of the Night. This was a very fun Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Gunther looks to have his mojo back after retaining his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The ending stretch of this match was the best part of the match I thought at one point Finn Balor had the match won but Damian Priest broke the pin up. Gunther demolished Finn Balor to retain his belt now what's next for Gunther?
4th Match: Chelsea Green vs. Michin in the Final Round for the (Vacant) WWE Women's United States Championship - Match Rating: **.75 - Very happy for Chelsea Green she was the right choice for the WWE Women's United States Championship. The match was okay. I think Michin isn't done with Chelsea Green feels like her chase for the WWE Women's United States Championship is going to be very fun to watch. But congrats to Chelsea Green when she won the biggest pop of the night happened.
The Main Event Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens for the WWE Championship - Match Rating: ***.50 - I thought this was a fine Main Event for WWE Saturday's Night Main Event. Kevin Owens delivered in this match I thought he should've won this match the story was right there for a major title change. But Cody Rhodes won afterwards Kevin Owens hit him with his old ROH finisher the Package Piledriver which left Cody Rhodes motionless with the medical staff team coming in to aid Cody Rhodes. Kevin Owens also was confronted by Triple H which led them to shove each other. Kevin Owens left with the classic WWF Winged Eagle Belt. I really am enjoying this story and I'm very excited to tune in Friday to see the aftermath of this brutal attack.

December 14th, Edition of WWE Saturday Night Main Event Show Grade: 7/10 (B-) - It was a very fun retro event. The pace of the show was nice I like how they got to every match quick and it was given decent amount of time. For the next Saturday Night's Main Event in Janaury I hope they do 3 - 4 matches because I think five was a little too much because of how every match was 8 - 11 minutes long. But other than that love the presentation, and loved the feel of the show I can't wait for next year when they do it four times a year.
