My Thoughts on the July 12th Episode of WWE Saturday Night Main Event:

My Thoughts: You would think, seeing a card like ththat is, this show could be very solid. Nope, this was abysmal, a much-packed house, but 3/4 matches didn't deliver at all. The opener was very much putrid with a lot of nonsense and commercial breaks, making the match not even fun. The United States Title Match was very much below-average and very much abysmal, but we saw Jacob Fatu make his presence known to help Jimmy Uso. Seth Rollins was sadly injured, which caused an audible to make LA Knight get the win with a BFT. Gunther gave Goldberg a solid match to end his career. This was not a good show. Very much upset with how WWE has been as of late because the shows seem so lifeless and dry. They need a WWE Draft and new creative in place because what the hell is going on with this company as of late?

The July 12th | Episode of WWE Saturday Night Main Event — Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre (with Logan Paul) in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ** | How do you make Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton a very below-average match? I was very much excited for this match as these two had some solid bouts in the past, with their 2020 rivalry being one of my favorites from this decade. But this match was just clonky, slow, and sluggish because they want to sell this Jelly Roll stuff. Randy Orton got the win with an RKO, but afterwards, Logan Paul got the upper hand, knocking down Randy Orton. Drew McIntyre claymore'd Jelly Roll, which made a lot of WWE Officials and the RAW and SmackDown General Managers come out and calm down Drew McIntyre. Very disappointing, just a very bad week for the Main Roster as SmackDown and Saturday Night Main Event were abysmal.

2nd Match: Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jimmy Uso in a Singles Title Match for the WWE United States Championship | Match Rating: **.25 | A very below-average title match. Two brothers fighting for the millionth time, but with the WWE United States Title on the line. Solo Sikoa had his first-ever title defense, and it was a success as he defeated his older brother in Jimmy Uso, to retain. After the match. Jacob Fatu came to save Jimmy Uso from Solo Sikoa and others and fend off everybody to stand tall. I just need the Bloodline Vortex stuff to end because it has been so lifeless, and no one cares about it anymore.

3rd Match: LA Knight vs. Seth Rollins (with Paul Heyman) in a Singles Match | Match Rating: N/A | This match was going well until the untimely injury of Seth Rollins, which made the whole match change as an audible was made for LA Knight to get the win with a BFT to secure the win. But the original plans had Seth Rollins winning the match with, I assume help of his henchman in Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Very unfortunate as Seth Rollins was the main face of RAW with a lot of stories evolving around him. Praying it's nothing serious and wish him a speedy recovery for the visionary.

The Main Event Match: Gunther (c) vs. Goldberg in a Singles Title Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship | Match Rating: ***.25 | Goldberg has officially retired. This match was the only good match from the card. I thought this match was out of Goldberg's style as the majority of his matches are squashes mixed with finisher spams the majority of the time. Gunther carried this match as he showed people why he's one of the best in the business today. Goldberg showed some fire, and some of his magic was still there, but he passed out to a rear-naked choke by Gunther as he faded and lost his final match of his professional wrestling career. After the match, he was joined by friends, family, and other colleagues as he thanked the crowd. A legendary career has officially ended in front of his home state of Georgia.

The July 12th | WWE Saturday Night Main Event | The Match of the Night: Gunther (c) vs. Goldberg in a Singles Title Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship | Match Rating: ***.25

The July 12th | WWE Saturday Night Main Event | Episode Grade: 2.25/10 (D-) | Another abysmal Saturday Night Main Event Episode this year. I thought this was a horrid show with 3 of the 4 matches not hitting the level I thought it could be at, but the ending was delightful as Goldberg rides off in the sunset with his career now being over.
