My Thoughts on the Premium Live Event | WWE The Great American Bash:

My Thoughts: Amazing show all-around NXT has delivered on every PLE Event they have had this year, the opener was very fun with Je'Von Evans taking down the giant in Jasper Troy to get his get-back win on him. Sol Ruca gave Izzi Dame her best match of her career in a fun mid-card title match, as Sol Ruca retained. Ricky Saints and Ethan Page tore the house down with an amazing Falls Count Anywhere Match, where Ethan Page retained, but Ricky Saints showed a lot of fight. Oba Femi had his 2nd best title defense against Yoshiki Inamura, and because of Josh Briggs, it cost Yoshiki Inamura the chances of winning a singles title in WWE. The Main Event was a lot of fun with Blake Monroe shining in her WWE Debut against Fatal Influence. NXT Talent has shown they can deliver, and they really overachieve and work hard, and the future of WWE is in good hands.

WWE Premium Live Event | WWE The Great American Bash — Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Je’Von Evans vs. Jasper Troy in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ***.75 | David vs. Goliath style match with Je'Von Evans getting the edge on Jasper Troy. This match was a lot of work, and kudos to Je'Von Evans for selling his ribs in jury he sustained on Tuesday at the hands of Jasper Troy. I like how the finish of the match went, as both men were protected, with Jasper Troy losing on a roll-up victory. But a fun opener, and Je'Von Evans is must-watch TV whenever he's in that square circle.

2nd Match: Sol Ruca (with Zaria) (c) vs. Izzi Dame (with Tatum Paxley) in a Singles Title Match for the WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship | Match Rating: ***.75 | Izzi Dame's best performance as a single competitor, she looked solid in this match and proved me wrong as I wasn't high on her, but you also have to note that. She was in the ring with one of the most talented wrestlers in general in NXT, in Sol Ruca. Sol Ruca had a marvelous performance. She has been handling a lot of workload, which means the higher-ups look at her with a lot of hope as she's part of the future for WWE. But this match was fun, it was placed at a good spot because the crowd enjoyed this match, and I hope Sol Ruca continues to have this workhorse reign and continues to have good matches.

3rd Match: Ethan Page (c) vs. Ricky Saints in a Fall Count Anywhere Match for the WWE NXT North American Championship | Match Rating: ****.75 | Easily Ricky Saint's best match of his career. This match was a great way to end the feud between Ethan Page and Ricky Saint. It seems like soon, Ricky Saints will be sent off for the Main Roster as Ethan Page will have a little bit more time in NXT. This match was chaotic, physical, and had some crazy spots, like the spot where Ricky Saints landed on the two chairs with his back in so much pain. I thought Ricky Saints was going to win but Ethan Page winning I din't mind at all this muight be the end of both feud for now I won't be shocked on the Main Roster if it reopens but great stuff by both men whi left it on the line in this fun, chaotic title match.

4th Match: Oba Femi (c) vs. Yoshiki Inamura (with Josh Briggs) in a Singles Title Match for the WWE NXT Championship | Match Rating: ****.50 | Yoshiki Inamura rocks. This was probably Oba Femi's 2nd best title defense, with this being behind the Stand Deliver Match, which featured Je'Von Evans and Trick Williams. Let me tell you this, Yoshiki Inamura is amazing. He was underrated as hell in NOAH-Pro Wrestling, and since coming to WWE, he has been making his name known. This isn't the first time he’s put on an amazing performance. Oba Femi is one of the best wrestlers in the world. He just gets it; he knows how to adjust to different styles and wrestle them differently. He's going to be the face of this company. Josh Briggs kinda cost Yoshiki Inamura, as when Yoshiki Inamura saw he had the NXT Title, it distracted him, which allowed the opening for Oba Femi to get the win and retain his title. This was an amazing match, and never let Oba Femi drop this title. He has been amazing and one of the bright spots in general for the lackluster year WWE has been having.

The Main Event Match: Blake Monroe & Jordynne Grace defeated Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Jacy Jayne) (with Jazmyn Nyx) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: **** | Finally, the debut of Blake Monroe in WWE, and she didn't disappoint as she tagged along with Jordynne Grace as they took on Fatal Influence's own WWE NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley. I'm glad that this Main Event highlighted the importance of Blake Monroe's debut. The tag action was solid. I thought the chemistry was there. Blake Monroe didn't look off as she hadn't wrestled since March at AEW Revolution, but she did a great job and even got the pin to get her team the win. Now, do I think she will eventually turn on Jordynne Grace? I do, but I think soon she'll have the heel turn as she is more suitable as a heel. But a great way to introduce her, and glad she got the win.

WWE Premium Live Event | WWE The Great American Bash — Match of the Night: Ethan Page (c) vs. Ricky Saints in a Fall Count Anywhere Match for the WWE NXT North American Championship | Match Rating: ****.75

WWE Premium Live Event | WWE The Great American Bash — The Event Grade: 9.50/10 (A) | This was such an overachieving show because all of the matches were either overly delivered or just became a candidate for WWE Match of the Year. NXT has been on a. Run for PLE shows, they have delivered every show this year, kudos to the NXT Talent who put the work in.
