Thoughts on the August 20th, Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
Thoughts: Two good matches happened the opener, and the main event. We saw Jaida Parker get her biggest oppertunity as he will fight for the WWE NXT Women's Championship at NXT No Mercy. Hank and Tank got a huge upset beating The O.C., and Ashante "Thee" Adonis made an example out of Dion Lennox in his 2nd Career NXT Match on Televsion. Joe Hendry will be next in facing Ethan Page as he will be at NXT No Mercy fighting for the WWE NXT World Championship.
The August 20th, Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Axiom & Nathan Frazer vs. Chase University (Duke Hudson & Riley Osbourne) (with Andre Chase, Ridge Holland, & Thea Hail) - Match Rating: ***.50 - Axiom & Nathan Frazer are the best tag team in wrestling right now in my opinion they can never have a bad match. They defeat the other members of Chase University which leads me to think at NXT No Mercy they will get their rematch for the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships. But very solid opening match.
2nd Match: Wendy Choo vs. Lola Vice - Match Rating: **.25 - It was an average little match, Lola Vice as a face I gotta get a little use to but Wendy Choo gets the win after bashing a pillow to the back of Lola Vice. Then afterwards Kelani Jordan came and attack Wendy Choo and took back her WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship.
3rd Match: Jaida Parker vs. Wren Sinclair vs. Kendal Grey vs. Brinley Reece vs. Sol Ruca vs. Adriana Rizzo in a WWE NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender Gauntlet Eliminator Match - Match Rating: ***.50 - The ladies did their thing, I was expecting Sol Ruca but Jaida Parker get her biggest win to date and faces Roxanne Perez at NXT No Mercy for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship will she finally get her crowning moment? We shall see. Overall solid match.
4th Match: Hank and Tank vs. The O.C. - Match Rating: N/A - It was an shocking upset, but nothing much happen in - ring wise.
5th Match: Ashante “Thee” Adonis vs. Dion Lennox - Match Rating: N/A - Dion Lennox made his 2nd Appearance on NXT Main Show, and lost to Ashante “Thee” Adonis by getting hit with a superkick.
The Main Event Match: Joe Hendry vs. Pete Dunne vs. Wes Lee in a WWE NXT World Championship #1 Contender Triple Threat Match - Match Rating: ***.75 - Solid Triple Threat wasn’t surprised that Joe Hendry won he’s indeed the most over guy in wrestling at the moment. Trick Williams isn’t done with Pete Dunne and cost him the win, and Zach Wentz attacked Wes Lee after the match because of what he did at NXT Great American Bash.
The August 20th, Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT Match of the Night: Joe Hendry vs. Pete Dunne vs. Wes Lee in a WWE NXT World Championship #1 Contender Triple Threat Match - Match Rating: ***.75
August 20th, Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT Show Grade: 6/10 (C) - It was an okay episode, there was some good moments like the main event match but outside of that just an average episode.
