My Thoughts on the August 5th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
My Thoughts: The Women's Division on NXT is great, but the men's side of things is very weak. Outside of Oba Femi and Trick Williams, they don't have a guy who can take over once those two are gone and on the Main Roster. But this episode had a very solid main event with Sol Ruca, and I thought the match was very fun. Tatum Paxley needs to win something eventually. She is so underrated, and I'm still waiting for the pending heel turn for Zaria because it's coming; we all know it.
The August 5th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Kelani Jordan vs. Blake Monroe in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Blake Monroe and Kelani Jordan should run it back with a proper finish because, for an opener, until the DQ finish, this match wasn't that bad at all. It started to heat up until Jordynne Grace came out, which made Blake Monroe run away and hightail out of there in a SUV. Kelani Jordan 2025 has been very up-and-down after what she did last year. I thought a big up would occur, but it didn't happen but I'm praying she gets a big match on NXT in the future because she's very talented and very enjoyable in the ring, as it was very evident during her match with Blake Monroe.
2nd Match: Hank And Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) (c) vs. Chase U (Kale Dixon & Uriah Connors) (with Andre Chase) in a WWE NXT Tag Team Title Match | The Match Rating: N/A — This was a quick title defense as Hank And Tank prevailed. But minutes after DarkState attacked both teams, and are seemingly targeting the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles.
3rd Match: Myles Borne vs. Lexis King in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — Myles Borne looks like a generic wrestler you make from WWE 2K, and I do like Myles Borne. His push has been enjoyable thus far, and I'm glad HBK has been decent with him for his booking. But this match wasn't anything to be like wow, this is amazing It was a typical, generic wrestling match. Lexis King wants to prove that Myles Borne isn't deaf and it's a ruse to get people to feel sorry for him but Myles Borne got the match and prove to Lexis King that he's that man in the ring as he defeated Lexis King and I think seemingly put away the feud but I don't think Lexis King is done with Myles Borne.
4th Match: Nia Jax vs. Thea Hail in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — Nia Jax's first NXT Match since 2016, and this was an actual okay match. I thought this was going to be a straight squash match but we didn't get that as we saw some fight from Thea Hail and after the match the brawl with Lash Legend happened this match with Nia Jax and Lash Legend that'll happen next week I'm very excited about I hope they give Lash Legend the rub and put her over asd I feel like her time to the main roster is coming shortly as Triple H is super high on her as from many reports.
5th Match: Channing Lorenzo vs. Yoshiki Inamura in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — This was just a filler match to further the feud for Yoshiki Inamura and Josh Briggs. Former Friends to enemies. Arianna Grace, who is the real-life girlfriend of Channing Lorenzo slapped Yoshiki Inamura, so i don’t know what’s brewing with that a on-screen releationship too?
The Main Event Match: Sol Ruca (with Zaria) (c) vs. Tatum Paxley (with Izzi Dame, Niko Vance & Shawn Spears) in a WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — I've enjoyed a lot of Sol Ruca; she's one of the brightest stars in wrestling today. Tatum Paxley looked great in this match, and I thought this was going to be her moment, but I guess we'll have to wait much longer. Sol Ruca has had a great title reign, and she added another good match to her list as Tatum Paxley, and she had a very fun Main Event Match on this episode of NXT.
The August 5th WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match of the Night: Sol Ruca (with Zaria) (c) vs. Tatum Paxley (with Izzi Dame, Niko Vance & Shawn Spears) in a WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25
The August 5th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Grade: 6.25/10 (C) — The Women’s Division on NXT is impressive, but the men’s roster is quite weak. Aside from Oba Femi and Trick Williams, there’s no one ready to step up once those two move up to the Main Roster. However, this episode featured a strong main event with Sol Ruca, which I found very entertaining. Tatum Paxley needs to secure a victory soon. She’s underrated, and I’m still expecting Zaria’s heel turn, as it’s evident it’s coming.
