My Thoughts on the March 17th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
My Thoughts: When it comes to special episodes or NXT PLEs, HBK consistently delivers, locking in shows with strong matches and memorable moments. All three women’s matches stood out as excellent, showcasing the depth of the division. Los Americanos were a great addition to the card, and Birthright is off to a strong, promising start. HBK clearly understands what NXT fans want and usually delivers on that expectation. While he may not be the most polished booker in every respect, he knows how to put a show together that leaves the audience satisfied. The Booker T segment was another highlight; the way everyone came out, followed by Booker scolding WWE NXT General Manager Robert Stone, made for a fun and engaging moment. Overall, this was a very enjoyable episode. I’m looking forward to what NXT has planned for next week back in Orlando. The brand is definitely building momentum and catching some steam.
The March 17th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — My Official Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Jacy Jayne (with Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) (c) vs. Sol Ruca vs. Zaria in a WWE NXT Women’s Title Triple Threat Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — I'm very much glad Jacy Jayne is still going to walk into WWE Stand & Deliver as the WWE NXT Women's Champion, but this was such a fun Triple Threat Title Match to kick things off in Houston. I thought the story being told between Sol Ruca and Zaria was great. I really think these are Sol Ruca’s last few weeks in NXT before she is called up to the Main Roster, hopefully on SmackDown, as they need a lot of help. But I do think her final match is Zaria coming out on top against her at WWE Stand & Deliver. But this ending to this match was so smart. Jacy Jayne took advantage of the damage Zaria caused to Sol Ruca to get the victory. Zaria’s face at the end tells the whole story. Great stuff, the Women on NXT have been amazing this year.
The 2nd Match: Los Americanos (Bravo Americano, El Grande Americano & Rayo Americano) vs. The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, Jackson Drake & Ricky Smokes) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — What a past four days it has been for the Los Americanos, El Grande Americano has the Rey de Reyes win, and now is the No. 1 Contender for the AAA Mega Title, he beats the Original El Grande Americano on Monday Night RAW, and now Bravo Americano, El Grande Americano, and Rayo Americano all defeated the WWE NXT Tag Team Champions The Vanity Project. This match was fun, as Vanity Project is going to restore the joy to the WWE NXT Tag Division, as they're very exciting to watch in the ring. Los Americanos had control for the majority of the match as the veterans taught the rookies a lesson. AAA & NXT know how to book Los Americanos in great fashion as babyfaces. Triple H should look at how they get booked and try to find consistency for them on the Main Roster as babyfaces instead of having them as heels.
The 3rd Match: Fallon Henley (with Jacy Jayne & Lainey Reid) (c) vs. Wren Sinclair (with Kendal Grey) in a WWE Women’s Speed Title Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Wren Sinclair in her home-tstate finally won her first piece of WWE Gold, and I love her finisher that’s such a great submisiion finisher but she has finally done it. She was emotional after the match in your home state of Texas, winning your first title against a NXT Veteran in Fallon Henley. This is what wrestling is all about, because these are the moments that you realize this is what a wrestler works hard for. It doesn’t matter what title it is, but congratulations to Wren Sinclair. I wish her a good WWE Women’s Speed Title reign.
The 4th Match: The Birth Right (Channing Lorenzo & Uriah Connors) (with Arianna Grace, Charlie Dempsey & Lexis King) vs. Hank And Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) in a WWE NXT Tag Team Title No. 1 Contender's Tournament Semi-Final Match | The Match Rating: N/A — This match was onviuously going to be the Birth Right coming out on top. It sucks that Hank and Tank had to be on the receiving end of it. I believe they will be on the main roster shortly, as they have done everything you need to do as a Tag Team in NXT. They can be a good hand on Monday Night RAW. But Birth Right advances as they await who wins the Eli Knight & Elio LeFleur vs. The Culling Match. But I do expect Birth Right facing Vanity Project at WWE Stand & Deliver.
The Main Event Match: Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Izzi Dame in a WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Steel Cage Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — A very good way to end this feud. Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame had an amazing Steel Cage Match. Izzi Dame, I may have been wrong about you, because this feud alone made me a fan of hers, because she really did improve tremendously inside the ring. I loved how they used the Steel Cage structure to weaken each other down. I enjoyed the chaotic hard-hitting portion of this match, including how the match ended with Tatum Paxley standing tall taking down Izzi Dame finally closing that chapter but what she didn't know is someone was awaiting her at the top of the entratnce ramp as we thought the show was going to close on a positibe note uinder the ramp we saw Blake Monroe attack Tatum Paxlewy dragging her down, as she singaled her wanting to regain the title she once loss in the WWE NXT Women's North American Title we can see what the next feud for Tatum Paxley will going to be which I think this next feud will be very entertaining.
The March 17th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — My Match of the Night: Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Izzi Dame in a WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Steel Cage Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — Amazing Main Event, also a great way to end the feud. I thought this feud elevated Izzi Dame as she improved a lot. She is very solid in the ring; it made me become a fan of hers. She really won me over in this feud. Tatum Paxley is one of the most underappreciated women’s wrestlers in the world. She has shown time and time again that she can be a future Main Roster World Champion. I really hope this next feud with Blake Monroe continues to show the world she’s really that damn good.
The March 17th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — My Episode Grade: 8.75/10 (A-) — HBK, when it comes to Special Episodes or NXT PLE, always seems to lock in this episode, providing some great matches and some great memorable moments. I thought all three women’s matches were great. Los Americanos was a great addition to this show. Birthright is off to a great start. HBK knows what the NXT Fans want, and he gives that. He isn’t the best booker, but he knows how to get it done to make the fans satisfied. Also, the Booker T segment was well done, but I loved how everyone came out, and he scolded the WWE NXT General Manager, Robert Stone. But I enjoyed this episode. I like what's going to be showcased next week back in Orlando. NXT is catching some steam.
