My Thoughts on the February 10th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
My Thoughts: A very enjoyable episode of NXT. I liked the chaos that happened throughout this episode, as the newcomers are really starting to settle in. Robert Stone didn't have control over NXT tonight, and Keanu Carver, man, when will he be strapped up with a title because it needs to happen soon? The Vanity Project was everywhere in this episode, and I think Zaria is ready to snap at any minute now, which leads me to believe that in two weeks, we'll see the ending of ZaRuca. But again, really happy NXT is starting to have newer talent and the old are transitioning out.
The February 10th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Blake Monroe vs. Jaida Parker in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — This wasn't fun. I was quite excited for this because the buildup over the past weeks has been fun, with them attacking each other at any given moment, but this match was a letdown in my eyes. Like, even when Jaida Parker lowkey sandbagged a Suplex that Blake Monroe gave to her didn't look good. The match was clunky at times, and it ended in a Double Count Out. I'm assuming a stipulation will be added. I presumably believe their 2nd Match against each other will be when NXT goes to Atlanta in two weeks, but this was a disappointment. I wish they could've given us a better match. Hopefully, the next match between the two delivers.
The 2nd Match: Eli Knight vs. Josh Briggs in a WWE Speed Title No. 1 Contender’s Tournament Semi-Final Round Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Eli Knight is someone I’m starting to get behind because he’s very electric inside that square circle. But he took on Josh Briggs. I must say this rebuild of NXT is a lot of the old NXT Veterans getting put in their place, but I was happy to see Eli Knight get the win. Now, he’ll be facing Elio LeFleur next week in the Finals of the No. 1 Contender’s WWE Speed Title Tournament. But we saw Jasper Troy appear to take out both men, sending a message that whoever wins, they have to deal with Jasper Troy, the WWE Speed Champion.
The 3rd Match: Joe Hendry (c) vs. Jackson Drake (with Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) in a WWE NXT Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This was actually a very fun match. I have seen some of Jackson Drake’s matches because of his WWE EVOLVE stuff, but this was quite fun. Joe Hendry had the young man scrapping for anything to get Joe Hendry down. Jackson Drake was desperate in this match, but I loved his quick offense and fast agility. He was very fun to watch in this match and had some solid chemistry with Joe Hendry. Jackson Drake’s pals, Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes, were ejected after being caught roughing up Joe Hendry, but as expected, Joe Hendry retained. But this was a very nice showing for Jackson Drake throughout the night as he was everywhere tongiht he held his own with his promo against Joe Hendry, then had a solid match, and then to cap things off, he helped his friends take down the GHC World Tag Team Champions in Hank and Tank.
The 4th Match: The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) vs. Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: *** — This was some fun stuff. Hank and Tank are trying to get some added momentum before the No. 1 Contender's Match for the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles next week, so a win would be nice. But Vanity Project pulled one together to pull off a shocking upset, thanks to the help from the WWE EVOLVE Champion Jackson Drake, his assist helped Vanity Project to get the win, and now they have been added to the match next week to make it a Fatal-Four Way Tag Team No. 1 Contender's Match for the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles.
The Main Event Match: ZaRuca (Sol Ruca & Zaria) vs. WrenQCC (Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair) in a No. 1 Contender’s Tag Team Match for the WWE NXT Women’s Title | The Match Rating: ***.75 — The ZaRuca implosion is coming because again Sol Ruca steals a oppertunity away from Zaria as now she'll be facing Jacy Jayne in two weeks in Atlanta for the WWE NXT Women's Title. But this was a very fun main event. Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair had a very fun performance toghether they didn't care who won and got the opperunity but that wasn't the same for ZaRuca, as Zaria is growing impatient. The heel turn is on the horizon; maybe at the Atlanta NXT Episode, we'll see the official implosion.
The February 10th WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match of the Night: ZaRuca (Sol Ruca & Zaria) vs. WrenQCC (Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair) in a No. 1 Contender’s Tag Team Match for the WWE NXT Women’s Title | The Match Rating: ***.75 — A very fun all-around match having Sol Ruca win adds more layers for the heel turn that’s coming for Zaria. I do think that heel turn will make Zaria a huge monster and future Women’s Champion in NXT.
The February 10th Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Grade: 6.75/10 (C+) — This was a fine episode of NXT. A lot of the new talent is starting to settle into their roles on the show. I’m enjoying this rebuild of NXT; there are already some new talents that I will enjoy watching every week.
