My Thoughts on the January 20th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
My Thoughts: This is how you start a rebuild of NXT. This was such a great episode of NXT. We saw Elio LeFleur take the WWE NXT North American Champion to his limit. We saw Eli Knight and Sean Legacy tear the house down with an awesome match. Kendal Grey and Lainey Reid are two absolute killers and will be the faces of the Women's NXT Side of things. Keanu Carver is an absolute monster who'll make an immediate impact. Like, they introduced a lot of the right people, and I'm lowkey excited each week of watching NXT as these new faces bring freshness to the product. Lastly, the Main Event was amazing as all Three Teams delivered in one of the best matches of 2026 for WWE this year already.
The January 20th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Ethan Page (c) vs. Elio LeFleur in a WWE NXT North American Title Match | The Match Rating: **** — We finally got introduced to Aigle Blanc as he is now going by Elio LeFleur. This was a hell of an opener as the WWE NXT North American Champion Ethan Page put his title on the line against Elio LeFleur, and man, Elio LeFleur is going to be special in WWE. Already, he got a title match and was put over during this match, even though he lost. This match showed that he can be a big part of this rebuild of the NXT Male Roster, and he showed out big-time tonight. Afterwards, we saw Ethan Page and Ricky Saints kinda hinting at a partnership against the newer talent, but we'll wait and see if that comes together.
The 2nd Match: Shiloh Hill vs. Josh Briggs in a WWE NXT Title Qualifying Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — This was a very fun, action-packed short tag team match. Chase U took on the new team in NXT Vanity Project and suffered a loss. Vanity Project, I won't be shocked if they win the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles in the future. They have some talent in that group that can succeed in WWE. But I wonder if David Finley's little brother, if David Finley comes to WWE, if he joins his older brother, and have a tag team that would be nice to see, but Chase U has reached its course as a faction, and I definitely think it's time for them to disband, and all go their separate ways.

The 4th Match: Sean Legacy vs. Eli Knight in a WWE NXT Title Qualifying Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — What a match! This was such a fun match and a great way to introduce Eli Knight to the WWE Universe, and I know he was in WWE EVOLVE, but Eli Knight and Sean Legacy tore the house down in this match. Both of these talents are some wrestlers I see thriving and maybe winning some gold in WWE. This match showed that if you allow people to go out there and hoop they'll deliver and it was very evident in this match I really enkoyed this I was glued to my TV watching this match, and Sean Legacy who's one of my picks to win the WWE NXT Title with Keanu Carver I think will have a great performance in the future Six-Man Ladder Match for the WWE NXT Title. For Eli Knight, the future is bright, and the talent here lets the man get the ball and show people what he can do with it.
The Main Event Match: ZaRuca (Sol Ruca & Zaria) vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) (with Jacy Jayne) vs. WrenQCC (Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair) in a TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Title Number One Contendership Triple Threat Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — This was one of the early contenders for WWE Match of the Year. This was one hell of a hell, and every team in this match delivered big-time. Lainey Reid and Kendal Grey need to be the two-faces of this next NXT Women's Roster as everyone getting called up and going to the Main Roster have these two be the faces because they showed out in this match. I loved how Sol Ruca and Zaria were in this match, and I'm very happy they got the win. Fatal Influence, if I had to choose, I would've them go to the Main Roster because I think it's time, but this was great stuff all around. I loved this match, and it's up there for one of my favorite matches of the 2026 calendar year.

The January 20th Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Grade: 8.75/10 (A-) — A great episode to start the rebuild of NXT. There were three very good matches from the show, and I really hope they keep this momentum because this was probably one of the most enjoyable NXT Episodes in recent memory.
