My Thoughts on the March 10th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
My Thoughts: A solid episode of NXT, we got a fun Triple Threat Match, Tony D'Angelo hinted to Joe Hendry he's now done with DarkState and will be coming for the NXT World Title. Birthright has officially added the final piece with Charlie Dempsey uniting with them, as he turned on his long-time friend Tavion Heights, as Fit Finley & William Regal looked on. Sol Ruca and Lainey Reid had easily one of the best matches in the recent week of WWE. Wren Sinclair and Fallon Henley will battle for the WWE Women's Speed Title as Wren Sinclair earned a huge opportunity after taking down Thea Hail. In the main event, we see a picture of Ethan Page also inserting himself into the NXT Title Picture, chasing Joe Hendry. But this was a solid episode. Next week is a major episode in Houston, Texas, so I'm excited to see what NXT cooks up next week.
The March 10th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Eli Knight vs. Jasper Troy vs. Sean Legacy in a Triple Threat Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — Now, I have my stocks invested. Eli Knight and Sean Legacy are two pieces of NXT I think that will thrive and become very popular with the NXT Crowd. But this was a very fun Triple Threat Match. Jasper Troy was taken out by Keanu Carver, who has been another person I'm very extremely high on as a talent. He put Jasper Troy through a table. But somehow he came back in this match, but luckily, some craziness happened as Eli Knight and Sean Legacy both pinned Jasper Troy to get the win. It was fun, with a creative finish. I need more of Eli Knight & Sean Legacy, two exciting talents to watch in that square circle.
The 2nd Match: The Birthright (Lexis King & Uriah Connors) (with Arianna Grace & Channing Lorenzo) vs. Charlie Dempsey & Tavion Heights in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: N/A — The Birthright. I’m not really interested in that group, a very corny group to me, but it seems like David Finley was supposed to get this introduction as the leader of the stable, but it was given to Charlie Dempsey, as Fit Finley and William Regal came out as Tavion Heights got attacked by Charlie Dempsey. The match, I kinda knew where this was going as they pivot from the original plans, but I’ll see how this goes, but not a fan of this stable. Also, can we give Tavion Heights better booking? Wasting his talents.
The 3rd Match: Sol Ruca vs. Lainey Reid in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — This was a very well-done match. This was my Match of the Night. Lainey Reid, once she is her own talent without being in a stable, she'll probably win some titles in NXT. She is a very gifted athlete, and you can see the glimpses of rare talent she possesses as a wrestler. Sol Ruca had another marvelous performance. I really can't wait for her to steal the show on the Main Roster. She's someone who I believe has a Superstar ceiling on the Main Roster. But now with Sol Ruca putting down Lainey Reid, she focuses on next week in Houston as she battles for the WWE NXT Women's Title.
The 4th Match: Wren Sinclair (with Kendal Grey) vs. Thea Hail in a WWE Women’s Speed Title No. 1 Contender’s Tournament Final Round Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Wren Sinclair has secured a future title opportunity as she defeated Thea Hail, and now she will be able to face Fallon Henley next week in Houston, Texas, to try to get the WWE Women’s Speed Title. This is a major accomplishment for Wren Sinclair as she could be getting the first title of her wrestling career next week.
The Main Event Match: Ethan Page & Ricky Saints vs. Joe Hendry & Myles Borne in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — This was a very basic tag team match, which showed the signs of what direction we're seeing for NXT Stand and Deliver for the NXT World Title scene. Ethan Page and Ricky Saints’ pairing has been very entertaining. I wish they were in the Vision over Austin Theory and Logan Paul, but maybe we could see them joining in the future? But this match didn't deliver for me; it didn't feel what the world needed. Because it seems like Ethan Page is back in the NXT World Title scene, with Ricky Saints being kinda upset about that. But Ethan Page and Ricky Saints got the win, but I see this alliance ending in a couple of weeks.
The March 10th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match of the Night: Sol Ruca vs. Lainey Reid in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — A very fun match between these two talented wrestlers. Lainey Reid has been someone whom I’m waiting to ride solo so she can show people why she’s the future of this industry. Sol Ruca is Sol Ruca. She’s amazing at what she does, reminds me of Lita. She’s going to be amazing once on the Main Roster.
The March 10th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Grade: 7/10 (B-) — This was a very solid episode of NXT. I really enjoy watching Eli Knight and Sean Legacy wrestle, same with Lainey Reid and Sol Ruca. When you have talented people listed on the shows, it makes for great television. Keep this going.
