My Thoughts on the March 3rd Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
My Thoughts: This was an okay episode of NXT. It had some solid stuff on the show. But as a go-home show before Vengeance Day, it could've been a lot better. The Blake Monroe and Jaida Parker stuff was some quality stuff, but the Ricky Saints segment was one of the worst-produced WWE Segments in some time. But I'm excited for WWE Vengeance Day. I really hope the NXT Superstars tear the house down this Saturday.
The March 3rd Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Myles Borne (c) vs. Ethan Page in a WWE NXT North American Title Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — Both men were wearing their funny suit attire but this wasn't like their match last week but this was okay, Myles Borne in his suit pant, and tank top got the win, and retian his WWE NXT North American Title against Ethan Page who has been out of luck losing his title, not being able to qualify for the AAA Rey de Reyes Four-Way Match, and a failed regaining for his WWE NXT North American Title. But I'm really hoping Myles Borne has an eventful run because his development has been a sight to see, and he's one of the talents I expect to have a big year in NXT.
The 2nd Match: Wren Sinclair (with Kendal Grey) vs. Nikkita Lyons in a WWE Women’s Speed Title No. 1 Contender’s Tournament Semi-Final Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Wren Sinclair gets a victory over Nikkita Lyons to advance to the Final Round of the WWE Women’s Speed Title No. 1 Contender’s Match as she’ll face Thea Hail and whoever wins that will face Fallon Henley for the WWE Women’s Speed Title.
The 3rd Match: Hank And Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) & Shiloh Hill vs. The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, Jackson Drake & Ricky Smokes) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — This was a very fun Six-Man Tag Team Match involving all the men in this match. There was a sequence from this match that I enjoyed: the outside dive. Hank and Tank seemed to use that excersion to NOAH-Pro because they looked like a more polished tag team in NXT. Shiloh Hill is starting to grow on me as his unhinged self is something a lot of fans have been enjoying on weekly television. The Vanity Project is some cocky S.O.B.S, but they get the job every time as cocky heels; they didn't manage to get the win as the team of Hank, Tank, and Shiloh Hill gets the victory. Hank and Tank vs. The Vanity Project is going to be very enjoyable for the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles.
The Main Event Match: Jacy Jayne (with Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) (c) vs. Zaria in a WWE NXT Women’s Title Match | The Match Rating: N/A — I knew this match would end with Sol Ruca inserting herself, but this match was starting to heat up between Jacy Jayne and Zaria. Zaria, who just turned heel, I expect to be the next WWE NXT Women's Champion at WWE Stand and Deliver. But this was very quality stuff as we have a potential triple threat match that might occur at WWE Stand and Deliver, which would be delightful because I could see that stealing the show. Sol Ruca closed out the show with a double Sol Snatcher, but please don't fumble this Sol Ruca and Zaria Match. I really want to see how it goes.
The March 3rd Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match of the Night: Hank And Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) & Shiloh Hill vs. The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, Jackson Drake & Ricky Smokes) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — This was a very entertaining Six-Man Tag Team Match featuring all the competitors. I particularly enjoyed the outside dive sequence. Hank and Tank seem to use that move as a trademark, making them look more polished as a tag team in NXT. Shiloh Hill is starting to grow on me; his unhinged persona has been a hit with many fans on weekly TV. The Vanity Project is some cocky, arrogant guys who always manage to get the job done as heels, but this time, Hank, Tank, and Shiloh Hill secured the victory. The match between Hank and Tank and The Vanity Project promises to be an exciting contest for the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles.
The March 3rd Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Grade: 6.25/10 (C+) — This was a fine episode, but I think the Main Event Segment of Ricky Saints left a huge stain on the episode, as he had one of the worst segments in WWE in recent memory. But other than that, very quality stuff, and Sol Ruca is back with vengeance.
