My Thoughts on the December 16th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:

My Thoughts: This was a very average episode of NXT, but we saw some shocking moments as Thea Hail is the new WWE NXT Women's North American Champion. Leon Slater has punched his ticket to face Oba Femi in the future, and Je'Von Evans and Ricky Saints had a tense brawl. The next two weeks are Tapped Episodes, but WWE New Year's Evil is looking very promising.

The December 16th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Blake Monroe (c) vs. Thea Hail in a WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Match | The Match Rating: *.75 — This match is hilarous because of the fact the title change wasn';t suppose to happen, Blake Monroe lost hert title due to a botch, and she was winded but at the end of the day Thea Hail should've improvise and did something. But Thea Hail gets her first-ever title in WWE. I expect her to lose it at WWE New Year's Evil, but she’s gonna have a short reign, but I guess it's cool to see a title switch in that fashion?

The 2nd Match: Hank And Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) vs. OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: *** — This match went on for a bit but the GHC Tag Champions Hank And Tank got the win over OTM and I do think OTM is very overrated becasue they've got a lot of repackages and chances and they just aren't it. Hank and Tank have improved so much this year as a Tag Team, and I think their winning was the right choice. I do think sooner than later, they'll be on the Main Roster and they can help out the RAW Tag Division, but this was a decent match and cool to see Hank and Tank wrestling again.

The 3rd Match: No Quarter Catch Crew (Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair) vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) (with Jacy Jayne) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair getting the win was the right choice as they need to allow Kendal Grey to have a lot of momentum and condident wins before her title match against Jacy Jayne for the WWE NXT Women's Title at WWE New Yeart's Evil. Fatal Influence looked very well as the WWE Women's Speed Champion Fallon Henley did her part as well as Lainey Reid, who I expect to have a major breakout year in 2026 as she is one of the people I hope they make break out eventually.

The Main Event Match: Leon Slater vs. Dion Lennox vs. Joe Hendry vs. Myles Borne in a WWE NXT Title Number One Contendership Fatal-Four Way Match | The Match Rating: **** — Leon Slater, the TNA X-Division Champion, had an eventful weekend as he faced his idol AJ Styles, and now will face Oba Femi at WWE New Year's Evil for the WWE NXT Title. The match itself was very fun; it was filled with a lot of action, and I actually thought Joe Hendry was going to win, but he didn’t. I'm glad the Youngest in Charhed got the win and will be getting a major match in a few weeks.

The December 16th WWE Tuesday Night NXT  The Match of the Night: Leon Slater vs. Dion Lennox vs. Joe Hendry vs. Myles Borne in a WWE NXT Title Number One Contendership Fatal-Four Way Match | The Match Rating: ****

The December 16th Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Grade: 6.25/10 (C+) — This was a very up-and-down episode of NXT, which was filled with shocking unplanned moments, and we saw Leon Slater be the next man to face Oba Femi for his WWE NXT Title. I’m glad that Leon Slater is in this position. He is very underrated and is 21 years Old, so I expect an amazing match in a couple of weeks.
