My Thoughts on the July 15th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
My Thoughts: Boring episode of NXT. The first two matches on the show didn't even have finishes; there was one good match from the card in the triple threat. But next week, a big NXT episode is shaping up to be very fun as it's in the state of Texas. NXT does occasional travel, but they need new male wrestlers in that area.
The July 15th | Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin & Saqoun Shugars) (with Cutler James) vs. Joe Hendry, Mike Santana & Trick Williams in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | Match Rating: N/A | This match was so pointless that we saw DarkState, which lost a lot of juice in recent months, going against Joe Hendry, Mike Santana, and TNA World Champion Trick Williams, which didn't even finish as it ended in a no-contest. This whole match was pointless, the can they coexist tagline. Just an awful match.
2nd Match: Kali Armstrong (c) vs. Karmen Petrovic in a Singles Title Match for the WWE EVOLVE Women’s Championships | Match Rating: N/A | I was excited for this match because of Kali Armstyrong and her finally appearing on NXT but it was cut short as an angry Jordynne Grace came out and disruoted the whole match and caused a DQ Finish. She’s angry because of the betrayal of Blake Monroe at Evolution, and she’s been off the hinges since then.
3rd Match: Tony D’Angelo vs. Channing Lorenzo vs. Luca Crusifino in a Triple Threat Match | Match Rating: ***.50 | This match overly achieved like I didn't expect this to be this fun of a match between all three men. This match, but more to add to the feud that has been going on with The Family. A lot of tension past months and betrayal. Tony D'Angelo came out. On top, but I don't think this feud is over yet. I expect a Rubber Match shortly.
The Main Event Match: Masha Slamovich, Sol Ruca & Zaria vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx) in a Six-Women Tag Team Match | Match Rating: *** | Fun Main Event Tag Team Match. I'm happy Masha Slamovich was on WWE Television; she's a beast and one of the bright spots from TNA. At the end of the match, you saw Masha Slamovich hold both titles, as in a couple of days, she'll be facing Jacy Jayne in a Winner Takes All Match.
The July 15th | WWE Tuesday Night NXT — Match of the Night: Tony D’Angelo vs. Channing Lorenzo vs. Luca Crusifino in a Triple Threat Match | Match Rating: ***.50
The July 15th | Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — Episode Grade: 5/10 (C) — Boring NXT episode. The first two matches ended without a finish. Only the triple-threat match was good. However, next week’s show, in Texas, looks promising and should be quite fun. NXT occasionally travels, but they need more male wrestlers as it's gutted on the male side.
