Thoughts on the Show / July 22nd Edition of WWE Monday Night RAW Show Recap:
Thoughts: I thought this was a fun episode, I loved some of the matches especially the main event. There wasn’t anything else to say because this was a fine episode, but I just love the many involvements of every wrestler on the show, and I think Triple H needs to take notes from HBK. Overall solid show.
Recap: Nothing much to recap on standard NXT episode with progression outside of Pete Dunne attacking Trick Williams nothing else really happen that was very important.
The Shows Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Brooks Jensen vs. Josh Briggs in a No Disqualification Match – Match Rating: ***.25 – I thought this match was fine, the ending was kind of interesting with Shawn Spears coming out to help Brooks Jensen I’m assuming an alliance is brewing between the two.
2nd Match: Eddy Thorpe vs. Lexis King – Match Rating: N/A – This match was quick with Eddy Thrope getting the victory so there isn’t much to talk about because the match ended before the three-minute mark.
3rd Match: Oro Mensah (with Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend) vs. Ashante “Thee” Adonis – Match Rating: **.50 – Okay, I like the singles debut of Ashante “Thee” Adonis on NXT. I’m happy he gets to display what he can do but, in this match, he had a brief showing but I get why Oro Mensah getting the win so he can build his stock before facing Ethan Page for the WWE NXT Championship.
4th Match: Wren Sinclair (with No Quarter Catch Crew) vs. Carlee Bright (with Kendal Grey) – Match Rating: N/A – No Quarter Catch Crew coming out to help Wren Sinclair was the highlight for me as she might be joining the group soon.
5th Match: Trick Williams vs. Cedric Alexander – Match Rating: *** - Cedric Alexander’s first singles TV Match of this year and he was shown to be a bit rusty but as the match went along, he started to clean up some of the moves. Trick Williams is improving a lot he looks a lot different than what he was beginning of the year. After Trick Williams getting the victory Pete Dunne comes out and attacks Trick Williams. Trick Williams now has something to do before his rematch with Ethan Page in the future.
6th Match: Meta – Four (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend) vs. Karmen Petrovic & Sol Ruca – Match Rating: ** - Jakara Jackson, and Lash Legend gets the victory then call out the WWE Tag Team Champions to face them at NXT Great American Bash which the champions accepted.
The Main Event Match: The Rascalz vs. Fraxiom, and Je’Von Evans – Match Rating: ****.50 – What. A. Match. I was entertained through the whole match. I loved the many spots. Je’Von Evans is continuing to shine and showing what he can do. The Rascalz vs. Fraxiom will be happening for the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships in the future and I’m very happy. Overall amazing match.
The Shows Match of the Night: The Rascalz vs. Fraxiom, and Je’Von Evans – Match Rating: ****.50
July 23rd Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT Grade: 7/10 (B) – This episode of Tuesday Night NXT, was very fun.
