Thoughts on the April 22nd Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT Episode:

Thoughts: This was a fine NXT after Stand Deliver. We had two quality title matches and a returning Norm Dar, who became a 4x WWE NXT Heritage Cup Champion. Thea Hail made quick work of Fallon Henley, and we are seeing the cracks of Fatal Influence. Joe Hendry made his return to NXT, which left Trick Williams irate and started to rage backstage, and was sent home back Ava as he was disrupting the show because of his actions. Trick Williams is leaning towards a heel turn, I don't want him as he's a natural baby face. The Main Event saw Stephanie Vaquer retain against Roxanne Perez in a solid main event, and potentially Roxanne Perez's last match in NXT as she goes to the Main Roster. Overall solid episode, and next week's show looks stacked.

The April 22nd | Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT | Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: The Judgement Day (Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez) (c) vs. Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley in a Tag Team Match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship | Match Rating: ***.75 | Liv Morgan has been the MVP of the Women's Division this year, and in this match, Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez both had solid outings against Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley. This was a fine opener for the show. And The Judgement Day retained against Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley.

2nd Match: Lexis King (c) vs. Norm Dar in a Singles Match for the WWE NXT Heritage Cup Championship | Match Rating: N/A | Lexis King reign as the WWE NXT Heritage Cup Champion is over as the returning Norm Dafr make his long awaited return after being gone for eleven months with an injury. He made quick work of Lexis King to become a 4x WWE NXT Heritage Cup Champion.

3rd Match: Thea Hail vs. Fallon Henley (with Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx) in a Singles Match | Match Rating: N/A | This match was quick. But as you notice, for weeks, tension has been brewing in the Fatal Influence faction, so that’s something to keep an eye on. But for Thea Hail, I’m glad she’s back; she brings a huge boost to the division, and I really hope she can win a mid-card title soon.

4th Match: DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) (with Cutler James & Saquon Shugars) vs. Je’Von Evans & Myles Borne (with Wren Sinclair) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: *** | Myles Borne and Je'Von Evans' tag team wasn't bad, but Darkstate racks up another victory as they are now 3-0 as a unit. I think Je'Von Evans entering a feud with Darkstate is lowkey enticing, as we could see Je'Von Evans vs. Saquon Shugars, which would give huge DPW vibes as they faced at that promotion years back.

The Main Event Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Roxanne Perez in a Singles Match for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship | Match Rating: **** | This was an excellent main event match. The back-and-forth action was very solid. I thought Stephanie Vaquer looked very solid in this match. She had a huge workload, she had Stand & Deliver, RAW & NXT. Rioxanne Perez, I'm assuming this was her last match in NXT as I think the call-up is on the way as expected, but I also think Stephanie Vaquer will be called up shortly. But overall solid Main Event match now that the festivities in Las Vegas are over, and now back to regular programming.

The April 22nd | WWE Tuesday Night NXT | Match of the Night: Stephanie Vaquer (c) defeated Roxanne Perez in a Singles Match for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship | Match Rating: ****

The April 22nd | Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT | Episode Grade: 7/10 (B-) | This was a very solid show after WWE Stand and Deliver. We saw a returning Norm Dar and two solid title bouts. The direction of NXT has been good as they are rebuilding the men’s division in a slow but proper way. Overall solid show.
