My Thoughts on the December 9th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:

My Thoughts: A solid show with two very good matches. I thought this was a fun episode, and I do like the story of Je'Von Evans. They have been doing the underdog story right, and his moment will come next year at WWE Stand & Deliver. For the Women's Side of things, with Kelani Jordan winning, they need to capitalize and have her win some heavy piece of gold, and I hope that happens sooner rather than later. And it was cool to see the GHC Tag Team Champions come back in Hank And Tank as they had a good Excursion to Japan. This was a solid episode, and next week’s show has a lot of heavy implications for the future of the WWE NXT Championship as we find out who Oba Femi’s next challenger is.

The December 9th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Kelani Jordan vs. Jordynne Grace in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — A really good match. I know Jordynne Grace is probably on her way to the Main Roster, but she has done a great job in NXT. She put over a lot of talent, had amazing matches, and had some solid feuds. This feud alone did a lot for Kelani Jordan. Kelani Jordan got the win, and I can say outside of her two title victories, this was up there for one of her biggest wins. This win needs to have a follow-up, as she should be competing for a title in the near future, but this was some good stuff by both women.

2nd Match: Shiloh Hill vs. Lexis King in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Shiloh Hill had his debut match and made quick work of Lexis King as he won in less than three minutes. Shiloh Hill has a lot of praise from his LFG Trainer, the Hall of Famer The Undertaker, so we’ll see more of Shiloh Hill.

3rd Match: Sol Ruca vs. Wren Sinclair (with Kendal Grey) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Sol Ruca had a quick victory over No Quarter Catch Crew member Wren Sinclair. Sol Ruca getting a quick win will help her get back on track, as she needs some momentum leading towards her match against Bayley in the biggest show of 2025, which is John Cena’s Final Match Event this Saturday.

The Main Event Match: Oba Femi (c) vs. Je’Von Evans in a WWE NXT Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — This feud right here is going to be a feud you won't forget in wrestling history. The Je'Von Evans and Oba Femi rivalry is something they need to have in WWE forever because this can be remembered as Je'Von Evans plays a perfect underdog. This match was great, I thought this was going to be Je'Von Evans’ crowning night, but how wrong was I... Oba Femi had a great performance as well, and he pulled away as he still came out as champion, but it isn't because he won clean. Ricky Saints turned heel and cost Je'Von Evans his match, and now we see who Je'Von Evans’ next feud is, which will be Ricky Saints, and I think Tony D'Angelo as well. As for Oba Femi, he now focuses on the biggest match of his career as he faces the WWE Champion, the Face of the Company, and one of the most recognizable wrestlers in today’s Mainstream World, Cody Rhodes, at WWE Saturday Night Main Event: John Cena's Final Match.

The December 9th WWE Tuesday Night NXT  The Match of the Night: Oba Femi (c) vs. Je’Von Evans in a WWE NXT Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.50

The Episode Grade: The December 9th Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Grade: 8.25/10 (B+) — This was a very solid, all-around episode of NXT. There were two great matches from the show, and the future of NXT is looking very much more promising. I think 2026 is a big year for the brand, and I can’t wait to see what they’ve in store and what they’ll deliver.
