My Thoughts on the May 6th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
My Thoughts: This was a sensational episode of NXT. I thought the matches on the show were all-around solid the few segments on the show were story-driven. I like the fact that Myles Borne is getting his big break and facing Oba Femi for the WWE NXT Championship. I think NXT has been great television in 2025, and they have been delivering on the in-ring work because there have been so many solid matches from NXT this year. But overall, a very excellent episode of NXT.
The May 6th | Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT | Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Darkstate (Cutler James, Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) (with Saquon Shugars) vs. Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) & Joe Hendry in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | Match Rating: *** | Hank and Tank seem like they're going to be traditional champions, as Darkstate got a pin-fall victory over them. Trick Williams came out and attacked the TNA World Champion as they fought off to the back, and Hank and Tank were left to fight off Darkstate, which didn't work as they had the numbers advantage and secured the win. Darkstate has been booked well, and their presentation has been solid as they rack up wins. They need to be stable enough that they rarely lose and win some belts soon, and I can see them getting the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships.
2nd Match: Zaria (with Sol Ruca) vs. Kelani Jordan in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ***.50 | This was such a solid match between these two. Zaria has been presented excellently in NXT as she is made to be a monster who is also playing a sidekick role to the WWE NXT Women's North American Championship. Kelani Jordan seems to be a tweaker, showing more of an aggressive side. I have a feeling that shortly, Zaria will eventually turn on her friend Sol Ruca to go after the WWE NXT Women's North American Championship, which will be a very good match when that time comes. But I enjoyed this match. NXT Women's has been amazing this year in the ring, and they seem to show people why they are one of the best divisions in wrestling today, because the NXT Women's roster is stacked from top to bottom.
3rd Match: Myles Borne vs. Ashante Adonis vs. Brad Baylor and Brooks Jensen vs. Charlie Dempsey vs. Chris Island vs. Elijah and Ethan Page vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Josh Briggs vs. Lexis King vs. Niko Vance vs. Ricky Smokes vs. Ridge Holland vs. Sean Legacy vs. Shawn Spears and Shiloh Hill vs. Tavion Heights vs. Timothy Thatcher vs. Trick Williams vs. Tyriek Igwe vs. Tyson Dupont vs. Wes Lee vs. Yoshiki Inamura vs. Zachary Wentz in a WWE NXT Championship Number One Contender Battle Royale | Match Rating: ***.75 | What a shocker as Myles Borne came out as Oba Femi oppenent at WWE Battleground. I love this as a new person gets a huge shot to get a major boost in NXT. I enjoyed the battle royale as we saw the return of Elijah in WWE got some TNA people in the match. Je'Von Evans was showing out. Another person who caught my eye was Sean Legacy; he has a very high ceiling, as he was one of the spotlights for me in this match. It was such a good showing from him. The ending was great as a dropkick got both Ethan Page and Shawn Spears out so Myles Borne could get the biggest win of his career to this point.
4th Match: Jaida Parker vs. Karmen Petrovic in a Singles Match | Match Rating: N/A | This match was nothing special. Just after the match, we saw Jaida Parker unlesah as she took out Karmen Petrovic and Thea Hail. Jaida Parjer has been booked very strongly, and I hope she gets herself some gold around her waist because it has been time for her to have a reign with a belt in NXT.
The Main Event Match: Jordynne Grace vs. Giulia in a WWE NXT Women’s Number One Contenders Match | Match Rating: ****.75 | This was such a heavy-hitting G1 style match, my goodness, this was amazing. This was Giulia's best performance in WWE thus far. I feel like her landing on her neck did something because it unlocked the Stardom and Marigold Giulia. Jorydnne Grace has been excellent since fully being in WWE. She has earned the opportunity to face Stephanie Vaquer for the WWE NXT Women's Championship at WWE Battleground in potentially the match of the show. I l; loved this match. This match had everything from the heavy-hitting, the kicks and the chaos. The fans loved it, and I loved it. As Giulia time is wrapping up in NXT as she's set for the main roster and be fully apart of Monday Night RAW she did an amazing job adjusting to the WWE style and becoming one of the best talents on the roster she's going to be amazing in the pairing with Roxanne Perez and can't wait how she is booked on Monday Night RAW.

The May 6th | Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT | Episode Grade: 9/10 (A) | What an amazing episode of Tuesday Night NXT. The women dominated the show as both matches displayed by the women, delivered big-time. Myles Borne had his biggest win of his career, as he now gets to challenge for the WWE NXT Championship against Oba Femi.
