My Thoughts on the November 4th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
My Thoughts: A decent episode of NXT, I thought this show was a lot better than the stuff they put out as of late. DPW for the win as Jaty Malachi and Lucky Ali Main Evented this show, and as someone high on both men, it was a joy to see them battle it out. If WWE can invest in this feud for the long term, it can be something special. But the show was decent, and next week’s show is looking to be a very enjoyable one.
The November 4th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Lainey Reid) vs. The Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley) & Lola Vice in a Six-Women Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — This was a fun opener, as Tatum Paxley was my highlight from this match, as she was doing everything, and Lola Vice was doing her thing. But Fatal Influence got the win, and also Lainey Reid, who just recently joined this group, had a good showing as well.
The 2nd Match: El Grande Americano (with Bravo Americano & Rayo Americano) vs. Josh Briggs in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — Los Americanos came to NXT as the WWE Speed Champion, El Grande Americano, who was scouting who he's facing next week in Jasper Troy for his WWE Speed Title. But this match was decent. Josh Briggs has improved in the ring a lot, but his microphone skills are lacking big-time. But El Grande Americano got a bounce-back win against Josh Briggs, as he lost to Penta last night on Monday Night RAW. But this was a solid match, and it was cool to see the young guys from Bravo Americano and Rayo Americano at ringside.
The 3rd Match: Zaria (with Sol Ruca) vs. Wren Sinclair (with Kendal Grey) in a WWE Women’s Speed Title Tournament Semi-Final Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Zaria is in her pursuit in getting some gold as she took down No Quarter Catch Crew own Wren Sinclair and advances to the next round now she awaits who wins the Fallon Henley and Skylar Raye Match next week.
The 4th Match: Kelani Jordan vs. Tyra Mae Steele in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — This wasn’t that bad. Tyra Mae Steele is someone who WWE is high on and has a future of being something special. Kelani Jordan turned heel last week and is now really hitting her stride in NXT, and I’m excited to see what she does next as the TNA Knockouts World Champion.
The Main Event Match: Je’Von Evans vs. Saquon Shugars (with Cutler James, Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **** — Jay Malachi and Lucky Ali man DPW wins again; this was a sample size of what these two can do in the ring. This right here should be a rivalry that people remember in WWE. This can be that big, high-level rivalry everyone can talk about and look back on. This match was awesome. This was the match I was most anticipating because I knew who these guys were before WWE, and noted they had history battling it out in DPW. Saquon Shugars had his first-ever singles match in WWE NXT, and it was a great one. I can't wait to see more matches between these two. These two are cornerstone pieces for WWE, don't mess them up.
The November 4th WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match of the Night: Je’Von Evans vs. Saquon Shugars (with Cutler James, Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ****
The November 4th Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Grade: 7.25/10 (B-) — This was a solid episode of NXT; I found it much better than their recent shows. DPW stood out, especially with Jaty Malachi and Lucky Ali main eventing. As a fan of both wrestlers, it was a pleasure watching them face off. If WWE decides to invest in their feud long-term, it could be something really special. Overall, the show was good, and next week’s episode looks promising as well.
