The September 9th | Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Rundown:

• TNA World Champion Trick Williams was attacked last week by DIY and wants retribution. What'll Trick Williams do? Does he have any backup that will come to his aid?

• Faby Apache of Triple A will take on the young rising Lainey Reid in a Semi-Final Match in the WWE Women's Speed Number One Contender Tournament, as whoever wins will face Candice LeRae in the next round of the Tournament.

• Ethan Page has been having issues with Tavion Heights for some time now, and now it has taken a deeper turn as Ethan Page, the WWE NXT North American Champion, has been using his home country, Canada, telling everyone how superior Canada is. In a Flag Match tonight, Tavion Heights, who's representing the USA, will face off against Ethan Page as he'll represent Canada.

• A Triple Threat Tag Team Number One Contenders Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles. As Sol Ruca & Zaria, Fatal Influence own Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx, and The Culling own Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxcley will all be involved in this match, as the winner will go on to next week, facing the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions in Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair on the NXT Homecoming Episode as they return to Full Sail.

• Josh Briggs did a hideous act a week ago, attacking and dismantling Je'Von Evans. Now the Young OG will get his revenge as he'll take on Josh Briggs. Je'Von Evans has something to prove after his heartbreaking loss at WWE Heatwave; he's looking to redirect and take down Josh Briggs.

• DarkState will have their first title defense as they go against the team they took the titles off at WWE Heatwave in Hank And Tanke in a Rematch for the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles.
