My Thoughts on the September 30th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:

My Thoughts: This Episode was just confusing, to say the least. Outside of the Main Event Match, there wasn't anything else noteworthy. I get it, they're trying to recreate the 2001 Invasion stuff, but this stuff sucks. The majority of the TNA Wrestlers are ex-WWE guys, so how does any of this make any sense? Cedric Alexander and Jakara Jackson were just in NXT many months ago, which makes this all funny. My highlight from this episode was Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater. This is what we should be seeing: great wrestlers wrestling every week, and not having 40-year-olds taking away from the young talent. But awful episode, and I just wish this TNA stuff could end.

The September 30th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Jaida Parker vs. Lash Legend in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **.25 — This match was okay. I like both women in this match, but it didn't hit where I wanted it to. Jaiada Parker and Lash Legend have been feuding for quite some time now, and at No Mercy, they had a brawl after Lash Legend called her out, which proceeded with this match. Jaida Parker got the win for herself. I really want Jaida Parker to get some type of title by the end of this year very solid talent who needs more things to do.

2nd Match: Myles Borne vs. Josh Briggs in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This match was fine, Josh Briggs and Myles Borne fighting for a spot in the NXT vs. TNA Match next week. Myles Borne was doing everything he could to win, but Josh Briggs was getting the upper hand majority until Zack Ryder came and stopped Josh Briggs, which allowed Myles Borne to get the win and earn a spot for the NXT vs. TNA Match.

3rd Match: Lola Vice vs. Fallon Henley (with Jacy Jayne) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — This match helped Lola Vice get her spot on the Team NXT Squad for the NXT vs. TNA Match that takes place next week, and for Fallon Henley, she misses out on a chance to be part of Team NXT for this match.

The Main Event Match: Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater vs. The Culling (Niko Cance & Shawn Spears) (with Izzi Dame & Tatum Pacley) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — Am I dreaming Leon Slater teaming with Je'Von Evans, two of the best young talents in wrestling today? This was such a sick match because we got to see two future Main Eventers teaming together. I wish this were an actual team because they had great tag team chemistry. The Culling tried their best, but Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater were too good for them as they came away with the win, and now, in a few weeks at TNA Bound for Glory, Leon Slater (c) vs. Je'Von Evans takes place for the TNA X-Division Title.

The September 30th WWE Tuesday Night NXT  The Match of the Night: Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater vs. The Culling (Niko Cance & Shawn Spears) (with Izzi Dame & Tatum Pacley) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — Two of the most exciting talents in wrestling teaming together, and the funny thing is, they are facing each other in the future at TNA Bound for Glory.

The September 30th Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Grade: 2.75/10 (D-) — This episode was quite confusing, to say the least. Aside from the Main Event Match, there was nothing else particularly noteworthy. I understand they're trying to emulate the 2001 Invasion storyline, but it falls flat. Many of the TNA wrestlers are former WWE talent, which makes this storyline hard to buy. Cedric Alexander and Jakara Jackson recently competed in NXT just a few months ago, making the current scenario amusing. My main highlight was Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater  — this is the kind of wrestling we should be seeing weekly: talented wrestlers performing, without older wrestlers overshadowing the young talent. Overall, it was a terrible episode, and I really wish this TNA storyline would come to an end.
