My Thoughts on the September 9th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
My Thoughts: What a fun episode of NXT! We got to see Carmelo Hayes, Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, Tiffany Stratton, and Tyler Breeze all make an appearance to hype up next week’s NXT Homecoming Show. It was a great build-up, and they made Carmelo Hayes look even bigger than he does on the Main Roster. The matches were entertaining too - Josh Briggs and Je’Von Evans were a highlight, as was the Women’s Tag Main Event. All in all, a solid show, and I’m looking forward to WWE returning to Full Sail next week for NXT Homecoming.
The September 12th Episode of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Josh Briggs vs. Je’Von Evans in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **** — A very good opener, and Je'Von Evans is the best young wrestler in the world today. Josh Briggs has improved a lot in the ring, which is good, but he needs to work on his promo game. However, I really thought Je'Von Evans was going to secure this win, but it didn't happen as Josh Briggs cheated to get the victory. The feud seems to be continuing, and I see it ending at WWE No Mercy. But this was the 2nd Best Match from this show, but I have to give credit to Josh Briggs; he really did his job, and Je'Von Evans doesn't need to say anything; he's amazing.
2nd Match: Lainey Reid vs. Faby Apache in a WWE Women’s Speed Title Number One Contendership Tournament Semi-Final Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Natalya appeared as she’s facing Faby Apache at Worlds Collide this Friday. This match was very quick as it’s a Speed Format Match. Lainey Reid gets the win and advances to the Final Round, as she’ll face Candice LeRae to have a shot at earning a shot at WWE No Mercy to face Sol Ruca for the WWE Women’s Speed Title.
3rd Match: DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) (with Cutler James & Saquon Shugars) (c) vs. Hank And Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) in a WWE NXT Tag Team Title Match | The Match Rating: **.25 — A very average title match, and it wasn't on Hank And Tank; they were fine in this match, doing what they could to make this match fun. DarkState picked the wrong members to defend the title. Saquon Shugars should be defending the titles; he's the most talented person in this group. But Hank and Tank tried to get back their titles, but it didn't work. Cutler James summoned Joe Hendry as he broke through the wall and chased Cutler James, but it backfired as DarkState got the win, and Joe Hendry, in a sense, screwed out Hank and Tank in regaining their titles back.
4th Match: Tavion Heights vs. Ethan Page in a Non-Title Flag Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — This was a very sluggish and sloppy Flag Match. Tavion Heights is one of the more promising prospects in NXT, but he showed some sloppy moments as he almost hurt Ethan Page's neck. But his getting the win is the right choice to further this feud. But I do think Tavion Heights or Myles Borne will be the ones who dethrone Ethan Page in the near future as it seems like Ethan Page time in NXT is winding down but I do hope he drops it to either Myles Borne or Tavion Heights because in my eyes that;'s the right choice to give a young talent the title to further the title up and see if they can elevate it like Ethan Page has.
The Main Event Match: The Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley) (with Niko Vance & Shawn Spears) vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henely & Jazmyn Nyx) (with Jacy Jayne) vs. Sol Ruca & Zaria in a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Number One Contendership Triple Threat Elimination Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — A chaotic Main Event Elimination Tag Team Number One Contendership Match. This match was so much fun, I enjoyed it and thought it had all the drama and chaos, which made it more entertaining. Sol Ruca by accident hitting a Sol Snatcher on Zaria, which caused them to be eliminated, and the Culling getting their moment as next week as NXT returns to Full Sail for a Homecoming Show, they'll go against Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles. Fun stuff from every teammate involved in this match, and more fractures are growing within Fatal Influence as Jacy Jayne berates them after losing the match.

The September 9th Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT — The Episode Grade: 7/10 (B-) — This was a very fun episode of NXT. Carmelo Hayes, Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, Tiffany Stratton, and Tyler Breeze all made appearances to build excitement for next week’s NXT Homecoming show, which was very well done. They portrayed Carmelo Hayes as an even bigger star than he’s presented on the Main Roster. The matches were entertaining, especially Josh Briggs vs. Je’Von Evans and the Women’s Tag Main Event. Overall, it was a solid show, and I’m looking forward to WWE returning to Full Sail for NXT Homecoming next week.
