Thoughts on the September 17th, Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT:
Thoughts: This was a fine episode of NXT, with a few highlights from the show like the appearance of CM Punk, and Tyrese Haliburton. I thought this was a typical episode a lot of shorts matches with 1 - 2 long ones, and couple segments throughout the show. They're building towards there arrival on the CW Network so I expect the show to pick up in a big way once they make the switch to that network. But overall an okay, fine episode but I do expect it to pick up in the near future.
The September 17th, Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Lyra Valkryia & Tatum Paxley vs. Rosemary & Wendy Choo - Match Rating: *** - The reunion of best friends. Lyra Valkryia helps Tatum Paxley take down the team of Rosemary, and Wendy Choo. This was a proper opener for NXT the women did a solid job in this match, I kinda figured who was gonna win. It was nice to see Lyra Valkryia tear it up in the ring she looked great. Overall very solid opener, and it seems like for now Lyra Valkryia & Tatum Paxley gonna go their separate ways but I hope they reform once Tatum Paxley goes to the Main Roster.
2nd Match: Alexander Hammerstone defeats Tony D'Angelo (with Adriana Rizzo, Channing Lorenzo & Luca Crusifino) - Match Rating: N/A - Very good storyline progression showing Tony D'Angelo giving up, and then telling his Family that he can't beat Oba Femi which is leading to believe he might be the one who takes down Oba Femi possibly when they go to the CW Network or they'll have the match at NXT next PLE which is Halloween Havoc.
3rd Match: Eddy Thorpe defeats Ashante "Thee" Adonis - Match Rating: N/A - Eddy Thorpe gets the upper hand against a cocky Ashante "Thee" Adonis in a quick match.
4th Match: Cedric Alexander & Je'Von Evans defeats No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Borne & Tavion Heights) (with Charlie Dempsey & Wren Sinclair) - Match Rating: ***.25 - Fun tag team match. I love the pairing of Cedric Alexander & Je'Von Evans I feel like they gonna be a very solid unit in NXT if they keep them together but from this match alone I can see them be a very fun tag team it can be like how Bron Breakker was with Baron Corbin that Veteran & Rookie combination and it could potentially work. But now on to the match I thought it was fun, and exciting. It was great to see Tavion Heights come back from his run in NOAH which in my opinion he improved a lot in - ring and it's very noticeable. Myles Borne showed out as well in eyes he did good as well. But at the end Cedric Alexander & Je'Von Evans got the victory then afterwards Je'Von Evans saw he'll be facing Randy Orton on October 8th in St. Louis, Missouri when NXT goes to the CW Network a huge match for him and that goes to show how WWE views him as a next star in this business.
5th Match: Brooks Jensen (with Shawn Spears) defeats Dion Lennox - Match Rating: N/A - The push of Brooks Jensen hasn't really got my attention as of ye. But he racks up a win against Dion Lennox.
The Main Event Match: Lola Vice defeats Jacy Jayne (with Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) - Match Rating: N/A - Lola Vice gets the victory in the main event then afterwards Fatal Influence try to attack which led Jaida Parker to come out but tensions between Lola Vice & Jaida Parker arose.
The September 17th, Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT Match of the Night: Cedric Alexander & Je'Von Evans defeats No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Borne & Tavion Heights) (with Charlie Dempsey & Wren Sinclair) - Match Rating: ***.25
September 17th, Edition of WWE Tuesday Night NXT Show Grade: 5.75/10 (C) - It was an okay episode. I expect once they switch to the CW Network it will pick up, and have a lot of fun matches and long matches epscially.
