Thoughts of the Premium Live Event | WWE WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, Nevada (Night One) | Live Event Show:

Thoughts: The start of this show was very much suspect, as the first two matches didn't deliver to the standards that were given. But we saw Jey Uso finally do it as he made Gunther submit to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The New Day finally got some gold again as they defeated The War Raiders to become the new WWE World Tag Team Champions. But WrestleMania Night One started to heat up after the Jade Cargill vs. Naomi Match. LA Knight and Jacob Fatu had a very good match, with Jacob Fatu getting his first singles title in WWE. Rey Fenix had his first-ever WrestleMania singles match, and it didn't disappoint. In a solid singles match, but El Grande Americano got the win as he installed a metal plate in his mask to knock out Rey Fenix to win his first-ever WrestleMania match. Tiffany Stratton shockingly retained her WWE Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair in a very solid match. The Main Event delivered, as we saw one of the greatest Main Event matches. I thought this match was off the hook, filled with everything we saw, the heel turn of Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman as he aligned himself with Paul Heyman after Paul Heyman turned on CM Punk and Roman Reigns. Overall solid event after a rough start; they recovered very well. Tomorrow's match card is looking very much stacked, and I can't wait for it.

WWE Premium Live Event | WWE WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, Nevada (Night One) | Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso in a Singles Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship | Match Rating: *** | This was a fine opener for me. I thought the match picked up towards the end, but it was very weird to see Jey Uso pulling out moves he usually never would hit, but man, this was such a feel-good moment for Jey Uso, as you can tell when he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, he let all his emotions out. It took him everything to beat Gunther. He hit a powerbomb, spear, three splashes & a rear-naked choke to beat Gunther. Gunther's reign ends, but it was a solid one. Wish he had better feuds, but what's next for Gunther is my question? But congrats to Jey Uso, the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion in WWE.

2nd Match: The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) (c) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) in a Tag Team Match for the WWE World Tag Team Championships | Match Rating: ** | This was an okay Tag Team match. I wish this could have been on RAW instead and had the TLC SmackDown Tag Title Match instead. But this was very lackluster in some parts. The crowd seemed not very much interested as they didn't give big reactions. This was just a filler match, it felt like. But there were some parts in the match that were very solid, some in-ring moments. But the match just didn't hit that hard as I expected it to. But now, The New Day are the new WWE World Tag Team Champions for RAW.

3rd Match: Jade Cargill vs. Naomi in a Singles Match | Match Rating: **** | Easily Jade Cargill's best performance since fighting Kris Statlander back in AEW. What a damn match this was very fun, and I love the action in the ring. The chemistry is there, also Jade Cargill looks more polished in the ring than she did a year ago, she has improved, and you can see that. Naomi did a great job in this match, as she looked great in this match as well, and she played the heel role well in this match. They made history as this was the first time a women's singles match at WrestleMania didn't involve a title, but flowers to both of these ladies very fun match.

4th Match: LA Knight (c) vs. Jacob Fatu in a Singles Match for the WWE United States Championship | Match Rating: ****.25 | This was an awesome match. What a match between these two. The chemistry between the two in the ring was great. The crowd woke up. During this match, giving "This is Awesome" chants. I thought this was a great transitional reign for LA Knight as he reelevated the title, and now Jacob Fatu can make this title worth it. I just know his reign is going to be marvelous. The moment of the match for me was the backbody suplex off the top, and the moonsault into a B.F.T. by LA Knight, what a match. Jacob Fatu is about to go on a run with that title.

5th Match: El Grande Americano vs. Rey Fenix in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ***.75 | A very solid, quick match at WrestleMania. I know Rey Mysterio being injury changed a lot of things. I thought this was a very fun little match to have in the middle of the card. This match was very exciting because there were going to be two solid wrestlers about to do battle. Rey Mysterio got to have his first singles match at WrestleMania in a short time arriving in WWE. But El Grande Americano got the win after putting a metal piece in his mask to knock out Rey Fenix. El Grande Americano, I'm assuming going to have a long run in WWE after having a successful debut at WrestleMania.

6th Match: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Charlotte Flair in a Singles Match for the WWE Women’s Championship | Match Rating: ***.25 | This match had its ups and downs, but I felt like a gear was missing in this match. Some of the moments in the match were clunky. Charlotte Flair didn't look her best in this match whatsoever. Tiffany Stratton got her defining moment as she beat one of the best to do it clean at WrestleMania. I expected her to lose, but I'm glad she won and retained her title. Now I wonder what's next for both ladies after WrestleMania. But this match could've been a lot better in my eyes, but just didn't reach that final missing gear in my opinion.

The Main Event Match: CM Punk (with Paul Heyman) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns in a Triple Threat Match | Match Rating: ***** | One of the greatest Main Events in WrestleMania history. What a drama-filled match with chaos, twists & turns. I have no words, this was just an insane masterpiece. I didn't expect this match to be this insanely good. But this match made this show a lot better. The unexpected heel turn, as we saw Paul Heyman turn on CM Punk & Roman Reigns to align with Seth Rollins, to end the match, as it left everyone in a state of shock, as it left me in a state of shock. I have no words, this was amazing, great job by all men in this match. Roman Reigns had a phenomenal performance. CM Punk showed people why he's indeed the Best in the World, and Seth Rollins showed why he's one of the best in this generation. Amazing Main Event, now we get ready for Night Two of WrestleMania.

WWE Premium Live Event | WWE WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, Nevada (Night One) | Match of the Night: CM Punk (with Paul Heyman) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns in a Triple Threat Match | Match Rating: *****

WWE Premium Live Event | WWE WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, Nevada (Night One) | Event Grade: 7.50/10 (B) | This show started very rough but finished strong with an amazing Main Event. I thought some of the matches were short and not long, but some delivered with the time they were given. I genuinely enjoyed the 2nd half of the show. But I’m excited for tomorrow with the Night Two card looking very stacked. But solid show for Night One.
