My Official Review of the September 2nd Episode of AEW Dynamite:
My Official Review: Amazing Aftermath Episode after ALL IN IV. I thought this episode was like a major reset, a new season of AEW as we enter a new era with new champions everywhere. It felt new and fresh, a fun episode. I think AEW is heading into one of their best stretches in the company's history very excited for what happens next for AEW.
My Official Match Ratings for the September 2nd AEW Dynamite Episode:
The Opening Match: Swerve Strickland & The New Level (Austin Creed & Kofi) (with Prince Nana) (c) vs. The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed & Zachary Wentz) in an AEW World Trios Title Match | My Match Rating: ****.50 — It's honsetly so cool to see Austin Creed and Kofi fighting again now without any moveset restrictions we get to see them go 100% using their full moveset this was my Match of the Show a very fun back-and-forth action with the Rascalz being a good first title defense for The New Level and Swerve Strickland as they manage to retain their AEW World Trios Titles and we saw The New Level and The Young Bucks have a little face-to-face encounter afterwards which made me super happy as I wanted this match for almost a decade now and we're soon to be getting it.
The 2nd Match: Darby Allin (c) vs. Mark Davis in an AEW TNT Title Match | My Match Rating: **** — Typical Darby Allin style Title Defense a Big Man vs. the little Darby Allin, but Darby Allin always finds a way to win. I thought this was where Ilja Dragunov would've debuted, but sadly that didn't happen; guess we have to wait a little longer for that to occur. But this was a very fun match, and Darby Allin has had a remarkable 2026 and contiunes to have a case for AEW Wrestler of the Year.
The 3rd Match: Megan Bayne (with Lena Kross) vs. Alex Windsor in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: ***.25 — Megan Bayne is someone I expect AEW to push for the Women's World Title eventually but this match was good step into her direction as a Singles Wrestler I do hope she starts to shift into the Singles Division for the Women's World Title other AEW TBS Title because she has a great potential as a Singles Champion and this match was very decent as she managed to take down Alex Windsor to come away with the win on AEW Dynamite.
The 4th Match: Jon Moxley [c] vs. AR Fox in an AEW Continental Title Eliminator Match | My Match Rating: **.50 — This was one of the most pointless matches on the show could've slotted some fun Cruiserweights just going at it, but we got this boring match. Jon Moxley was on a good streak of matches, but this dud occurred as we knew he wasn't losing to AR Fox. This match was probably the worst from this entire show.
The Main Event Match: United Empire (Andrade El Idolo, Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, HENARE & Will Ospreay) vs. The Demand (Bishop Kaun, Ricochet & Toa Liona) & The Dogs (Clark Connors & Gabe Kidd) in a Ten-Man Tag Team Match | My Match Rating: ****.25 — I expected this match to be good, and it delivered a very fun All-Star Ten-Man Tag Team Match Main Event as the United Empire got the win in the end, and we saw what the ALL OUT Chicago Main Event will be as a shocker happen while Jon Moxley met with Will Ospreay as now they will be going against each other at ALL OUT for the AEW World Title.
My Official Match of the Night for the September 2nd Episode of AEW Dynamite: Swerve Strickland & The New Level (Austin Creed & Kofi) (with Prince Nana) (c) vs. The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed & Zachary Wentz) in an AEW World Trios Title Match | My Match Rating: ****.50 — It's honestly exciting to see Austin Creed and Kofi fight again without restrictions, using their full moveset. My Match of the Show was a fun back-and-forth with the Rascalz as a good first title defense for The New Level; they retain their AEW World Trios Titles. We also saw The New Level and The Young Bucks have a face-to-face, which made me happy because I've wanted this match for nearly a decade, and it's soon happening.
My Official Highlight of the Show for the September 2nd Episode of AEW Dynamite: Will Ospreay is the AEW World Champion — This run he's about to have is going to be very generational as I expect an all-time run as the AEW World Champion he already set up some future feuds with Ricochet again and now is going to be on a collision course with Jon Moxley in Chicago for ALL OUT.
My September 2nd Official Episode Grade for AEW Dynamite: 9/10 (A) — Amazing aftermath episode after ALL IN IV. It felt like a true reset, almost like AEW was kicking off a brand-new season as it entered a fresh era with champions across the board. The show came across as new, energetic, and genuinely fun from start to finish. I think AEW is heading into one of the best stretches in the company’s history, and I’m very excited to see what comes next.
