My Official Review on the August 31st Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Official Review: There were a lot of interesting factors in this episode. I loved how Royce Keys and OTM have been portrayed in the first two weeks, as the stable is fresh and new, and they really made their mark with the attacks on Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa. They are hunting and not playing around; I hope in the matches they look strong. I thought that two of the five matches were good. Dragon Lee and Ethan Page were very enjoyable, and Penta taking on his brother Rey Fenix was one of the best WWE TV Matches of the 2026 year, and Roman Reigns going face to face with Penta was a very cool angle to end the show. But the downside of the episode is the lack of creativity for Je'Von Evans he been in filler feuds that are leading him nowhere. He had two matches against The Judgement Day and hasn't looked strong in back-to-back weeks. Sol Ruca losing stinks because I genuinely wished she could've regained her title from Raquel Rodriguez. RAW has been a solid product for the past month but it seems like these next couple weeks are going to be fun with Roman Reigns defending his title on RAW, Stephanie Vaquer challenges for the Women's World Title next week mixed in the fact we have Chad Gable against Dragon lee for the WWE Intercontinental Title with the Men's & Women's Money in the Bank Qualifying Matches are starting next week. Very exciting times for WWE in the coming weeks.

My Official Match Ratings for the August 31st WWE Monday Night RAW Episode:

The Opening Match: Raquel Rodriguez (with Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez) (c) vs. Sol Ruca in a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title Match | My Match Rating: **.25 — I really hope someone dethrones Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Title, as her reign so far has been boring. I really thought we could've gotten Sol Ruca regaining the title, but because of Lyra Valkyria, that didn't occur, and this isn't any hate for Raquel Rodriguez; she just isn't really interesting to me. Roxanne Perez should have been holding that title right now, but she isn't, which is crazy she been having a horrid 2026. But this match was okay, nothing notable outside of Lyra Valkyria appearing, but I really hope something heats up for Raquel Rodriguez or just have her drop the title soon.

The 2nd Match: Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page in a WWE Intercontinental Title No. 1 Contender’s Match | My Match Rating: ***.25 — Dragon Lee and Ethan Page had a very fun match, as this match was a No. 1 Contender's Match for a chance at the WWE Intercontinental Title on the September 14th Episode of Monday Night RAW, which will be in Mexico City. I really liked how this match went. Dragon Lee has become new over with the crowd, as the great matches he's been putting together have made him get over. The WWE Intercontinental Title Scene is very exiciting a very deep division with epople who can realistically be future champions. The match ends with Dragon Lee capturing the win, as this will be his 3rd Shot at the WWE Intercontinental Title this year as he looks to become champion in Mexico City against Chad Gable.

The 3rd Match: Je’Von Evans vs. Dominik Mysterio (with JD McDonagh) in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: N/A — The match was boring, and yes, the match ended in a DQ, which proceeded into a Tag Team Match with Joe Hendry joining Je'Von Evans. But this match was boring; as I said, nothing was really enjoyable. I'm not discrediting the wrestlers; I'm a fan of both and think they are crucial pieces to the WWE future, as I see them both as Main Event Level Talents, but their chemistry wasn't meshing, and this was Je'Von Evans weakest match since joining the Main Roster in December of last year. The match ended in a DQ after JD McDonagh clobbered Je'Von Evans, which prompted the restart of the match, turning it into a Tag Team Match.

The 4th Match: The Judgement Day (Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh) vs. Je’Von Evans & Joe Hendry in a Tag Team Match | My Match Rating: ** — I love Je'Von Evans, and I really wish his booking was a lot better. This match wasn't good not because of him but because the Tag Team Match just didn't hit for me now Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh as a Tag Team has had some fun Tag Team Matches when tagging together but inserting Joe Hendry out of the blue i don't remember the last time we saw him on Monday Night RAW but this match could've been left off because it just wasn't good. I really hope Je'Von Evans gets his win back and starts his pursuit of a WWE Intercontinental Title. But I'm glad Dominik Mysterio did get a pin-fall win. With the Money in the Bank Qualifying Matches starting next week, Dominik Mysterio and Je'Von Evans should be inserted into that match for October in Louisiana.

The Main Event Match: Penta vs. Rey Fenix in a WWE World Heavyweight Title No. 1 Contender’s Tournament Final Match | My Match Rating: ****.75 — Excellent Main Event Match. I really loved this match; it brought me so much joy this summer seeing the emergence of Rey Fenix in WWE, as he has had an amazing summer filled with great matches and great title defenses. Same with Penta this year; he has finally reached Main Event Level Status. But there were so many spots in this match that had me off my feet and had my jaw dropping. The super high in-the-air Powerbomb spot was awesome, the table spot was awesome, and the closing stretch was fabulous. This match really showed that Rey Fenix, after his reign as the AAA World Cruiserweight Champion he should go after the WWE United States Title or WWE Intercontinental Title because he has been on fire. Penta is now heading to Mexico City with the chance to become the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion against Roman Reigns, the Champion. The Monday Night RAW Main Event for September 14th is set, as we saw Penta and Roman Reigns go face-to-face to close the show, with everyone excited about what they were seeing.

My Official Match of the Night for the August 31st Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW: Penta vs. Rey Fenix in a WWE World Heavyweight Title No. 1 Contender’s Tournament Final Match | My Match Rating: ****.75 — Excellent Main Event Match. I loved it; seeing Rey Fenix emerge in WWE this summer, with great matches and title defenses, brought me joy. Penta also reached Main Event Status this year. Many spots had me off my feet, like the high Powerbomb, the table spot, and the closing stretch. Rey Fenix, after his AAA World Cruiserweight title reign, should pursue the WWE US or Intercontinental titles, as he’s on fire. Penta now heads to Mexico City for a chance to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion against Roman Reigns. The September 14th RAW main event was set as Penta and Roman Reigns faced off to end the show, exciting everyone.

My Official Highlight of the Show for the August 31st Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW: The Main Event Match — This was another amazing TV Match by Penta and Rey Fenix. Am I surprised they tore the house down? No, I expected this; this was one hell of a match. I loved everything about this match; this was simply an amazing match, another week as RAW has an amazing match. Last week we had Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee; now we have Rey Fenix tearing it down with his brother. Amazing match; now we have Penta taking on the WWE World Heavyweight Title in Mexico City as he takes on Roman Reigns in two weeks.

My August 31st Official Episode Grade for WWE Monday Night RAW: 6.25/10 (C) — There were a lot of interesting factors in this episode. I liked how Royce Keys and OTM were portrayed over the first two weeks, as the stable feels fresh and they made an impact with attacks on Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa. Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page was enjoyable, and Penta vs. Rey Fenix was one of the best WWE TV matches of 2026. Roman Reigns facing off with Penta to close the show was also a strong angle. The downside was Je'Von Evans, who has been stuck in filler feuds and hasn’t looked strong in back-to-back weeks. Sol Ruca losing also stung, as I wanted her to regain the title from Raquel Rodriguez. Still, RAW has been solid lately, and the coming weeks look exciting with Roman Reigns defending his title, Stephanie Vaquer challenging for the Women’s World Title, Chad Gable facing Dragon Lee for the Intercontinental Title, and the start of the Money in the Bank qualifying matches.
