Tony D'Angelo has the biggest task at hand because he doesn't have to be pinned to lose his WWE NXT Championship. Tony D'Angelo has been a prime example of a workhorse champion; anything in his way, he strikes it down, but noting we have Cruz Montana, Grayson Waller, and the newly signed Zilla Fatu, it'll be a tough hand to follow as he has to manage and calculate a good plan to take down anyone in this match to manage to retain his WWE NXT Title. Cruz Montana officially signed with WWE back in July and has been hunting down the WWE NXT Title; the same can be said with Grayson Waller, who returned to NXT after an uneventful 2024-2026 on the Main Roster, floundering trying to find a spot, but now trying to rebuild his career, he needs this more than anybody. Zilla Fatu debuted, destroying Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller, making a statement, and his 1st ever WWE Match will be in this Fatal-Four Way Match. Who'll walk out of WWE NXT Heatwave as the WWE NXT Champion?
Kendal Grey is coming off a grueling match with Lola Vice in an NXT Underground Match where she retained her WWE NXT Women's Title, but now she has a tough task at hand with Kelani Jordan. For months, Kelani Jordan has been frustrated with how overlooked she has been. She has been putting together solid performances, getting wins, and showing why she's worthy of a WWE NXT Women's Title shot. Now she gets it, as Kelani Jordan will look to take down Kendal Grey to look to become the next WWE NXT Women's Champion.
Myles Borne is working double duty today, but he needs to keep his head straight as he will be facing one of the top prospects within the NXT System. The leader of the Vanity Project, Jackson Drake. Now Jackson Drake earned this opportunity by winning a match against Shiloh Hill, which also allowed Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes to get their rematch for the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships. Jackson Drake wants to win his 1st NXT Gold as he aims for Myles Borne's WWE NXT North American Title at WWE NXT Heatwave.
Thanks to Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes got the rematch they wanted as Myles Borne and Tavion Heights will defend their newly won WWE NXT Tag Team Championships against Vanity Project's Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes. Myles Borne, who is doing double duty, has voiced how he's a working champion. Tavion Heights, who has been happy since winning these titles, is motivated to take down Vanity Project and put them in the past at WWE NXT Heatwave.
A Unification Match for the WWE NXT Women's North American Championship and the WWE Women's Speed Title. Originally, it was going to be Wren Sinclair and Zaria. But Kali Armstrong managed to defeat Zaria to make this a Triple Threat Match on the August 25th Episode of NXT, as now Kali Armstrong can turn things upside down if she manages to win.
Jaida Parker and Nattie have been going at it for months. Nattie built her own faction involving Layla Diggs, Karmen Petrovic, and the WWE Women's EVOLVE Champion Nikkita Lyons. The numbers game played a big advantage in a lot of the result, but this won't be just some ordinary singles match; this is a match that's basically a home game for Nattie. A submission match, a match where you win by tapping your opponent out, who'll tap, as this is the final match between both women, as this feud needs to end, and it'll end at WWE NXT Heatwave.

My Official Match Predictions for WWE NXT Heatwave:
As WWE NXT Heatwave approaches tonight, the card is shaping up to deliver a compelling mix of championship stakes and high-profile clashes. Here are my official predictions for the WWE NXT Heatwave Event.
WWE NXT Title Fatal-Four Way Match: Tony D'Angelo (c) vs. Cruz Montana vs. Grayson Waller vs. Zilla Fatu
I do believe this match will deliver; you've three good, solid wrestlers in Cruz Montana, Grayson Waller & Tony D'Angelo; then there's sadly Zilla Fatu. I do think this may come as a shock: Grayson Waller gets the win. He has been doing the best work of his career since 2021-2023, when he was taken as a serious prospect back then. Now he's trying to build himself. I do believe we can see Grayson Waller become the next WWE NXT Champion.
WWE NXT Women's Title Match: Kendal Grey (c) vs. Kelani Jordan
I don't see Kendal Grey dropping the WWE NXT Women's Title anytime soon, but Kelani Jordan and Kendal Grey I do expect a marvelous match between the two I do like the story of Kelani Jordan being frustrated because it brings a lot of realism as she been working hard as a heel mind you and being unnoticed I do think this match will be one of the best from the show I can see Kelani Jordan being called up soon after this match to the WWE Main Roster.
WWE NXT North American Title Match: Myles Borne (c) vs. Jackson Drake
Jackson Drake is someone I'm high on; he's a cocky heel who manages to bring heat and make the crowd be annoyed with him. I do see him dethroning Myles Borne, as he's working double duty defending his NXT North American Title and NXT Tag Team Titles with Tavion Heights, so the fatigue is going to be a factor. If the match is after if it's before then I can see Myles Borne try to take down Jackson Drake, but I would still choose Jackson Drake to get the victory.
WWE NXT Tag Team Title Match: Myles Borne & Tavion Heights (c) vs. The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes)
Myles Borne and Tavion Heights I do expect to retain these titles there's no way they lose them unless a heel turn by Tavion Heights occurrs which I highly don't expect I do think Vanity Project as a whole group is Main Roster ready but noting there haven't done a lot in NXT I think they will stick around for a little while longer but I have here Myles Borne and Tavion Heights retaining the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles.
WWE NXT Women's North American Title / WWE Women's Speed Title Unification Triple Threat Match: Wren Sinclair (c) vs. Zaria (c) vs. Kali Armstrong
I have Zaria retaining and gaining the WWE Women's Speed Title, then ending the title, as it has been rumored they wanna get rid of the title, which I agree with. I do expect a big performance by Kali Armstrong and Wren Sinclair in this match. This match can be a show stealer if given a good amount of time.
Submission Match: Jaida Parker vs. Nattie (with Karmen Petrovic & Nikkita Lyons)
I do see Jaida Parker do the unthinkable and make Nattie tap in a match she is a pro at in a Submission Match. But this feud needs to end because this feud has been a lowlight this year in NXT, in my opinion. After all, it feels forced and not benefiting anyone.
