My Official Review of the September 1st Episode of WWE NXT:

My Official Review: Very average episode of NXT; the only notable part is the awesome tag team match involving the teams of Dorian Van Dux & Sean Legacy as they took on Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno, as that match was awesome, with The Creed Brothers returning to NXT. Grayson Waller caused chaos as the WWE NXT Title scene is becoming more stacked. Kelani Jordan will defend her title against Jaida Parker next week. Next week we have two major title matches, which I'm quite excited about, so hopefully for a rebound with a strong episode next week.

My Official Match Ratings for the September 1st WWE NXT Episode:

The Opening Match: Naraku vs. Shiloh Hill in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: **.50 — This is probably the most confusing feud on the entire NXT roster. I never expected the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion to be feuding with Shiloh Hill, and this match ended up being incredibly boring. The feud itself makes very little sense. I honestly thought EVIL might be on his way to SmackDown to align with Hiromu Takahashi and Shinsuke Nakamura, especially with all the rumors circulating recently. Instead, it seems like he's just doing filler programs before his eventual main roster call-up. Hopefully that's the case, because this feud has done absolutely nothing to make either wrestler feel more important.

The 2nd Match: Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno vs. Dorian Van Dux & Sean Legacy in a Tag Team Match | My Match Rating: **** — Amazing Tag Team action in this match; it looks like HBK does care about tag team wrestling because this match was stellar. I enjoyed both teams, and the team of Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy are awesome; they really are an enjoyable team to watch, same with Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno. But we saw Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno win, with The Creed Brothers returning to NXT for the 1st Time since 2023 as they attacked, as the NXT Tag Team Division is looking stacked with a lot of exciting teams in this division, and with The Creed Brothers joining, it makes it even better.

The 3rd Match: Thea Hail vs. Nikkita Lyons in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: N/A — Thea Hail has been an interesting wrestler in 2026, but her booking has been very inconsistent. She was slotted into the Jaida Parker and Natalya storyline, then appeared at AAA Ola de Calor as part of the Gauntlet Match for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. Here, she picked up a win over WWE Women's EVOLVE Champion Nikkita Lyons, which was a nice surprise. Hopefully, this victory helps build some momentum for Thea as we head into the final stretch of 2026.

The 4th Match: Mason Rook vs. Kam Hendrix in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: N/A — Mason Rook is someone I've been high on since his debut, but this feud has been incredibly boring and hasn't done either man any favors. Kam Hendrix feels like a generic wrestler—almost like the default CAW you'd find in WWE 2K. There's nothing particularly memorable about him, and his current cocky gimmick doesn't stand out at all. I think he desperately needs a major gimmick change. I'm glad Mason Rook picked up the win, and hopefully this feud is finally over so he can move on and pursue the WWE NXT Championship.

The Main Event Match: Zilla Fatu vs. Tristan Angels in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: *** — This was actually not a bad performance by Zilla Fatu. He has shown improvement in this match; I'm not counting the Fatal Four-Way, as he was in the ring with three good wrestlers, but the striking improvements showed. This is probably the best he looked in a while. Now I do wanna see more development as a wrestler and on the microphone, but Tristan Angels did a good job helping out Zilla Fatu, and Zilla Fatu has his 1st Official Feud, as it seems like he'll be feuding with BirthRight, as he didn't join the group and attacked the leader, Lexis King.

My Official Match of the Night for the September 1st Episode of WWE NXT: Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno vs. Dorian Van Dux & Sean Legacy in a Tag Team Match | My Match Rating: **** — Amazing tag team action here. This was a stellar match and showed that HBK still cares about the tag team division. Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy continue to impress, while Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno are also a great team. Dar and Moreno picked up the win, but the biggest moment came after the match when The Creed Brothers made their first NXT appearance since 2023. With their return, the NXT Tag Team Division is looking more stacked and exciting than ever.

My Official Highlight of the Show for the September 1st Episode of WWE NXT: The NXT Tag Team Division — The NXT Tag Team Division looks amazing. This was my highlight, as the efforts by HBK are noticeable; he cares about every division in NXT, making it feel important. Very happy to see The Creed Brothers back on weekly TV; hoping this can rebuild their stock and careers.

My September 1st Official Episode Grade for WWE NXT: 5/10 (C-) — Very average episode of NXT. The highlight was the awesome tag team match between Dorian Van Dux & Sean Legacy and Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno, along with The Creed Brothers’ return. Grayson Waller also caused chaos in an increasingly stacked NXT Championship scene. Kelani Jordan will defend her title against Jaida Parker next week, along with another major title match. Hopefully, NXT rebounds with a stronger episode next week.
