The WWE Sunday Night's Main Event Episode Preview & What You Need To Know:

• Bron Breakker has had a weird 2026; he lost his major feud against Seth Rollins, lost confidence in himself, and been directionless. But something further broke inside him. Being left off of SummerSlam for the 1st time since his main roster call-up in 2024. Then seeing Oba Femi main-eventing, retiring Brock Lesnar, then being labeled the future, it broke something in him. He became the Bron Breakker that we know, the badass we knew, the version of himself that dominated WWE from 2024-2025. He confronted Oba Femi on the Post-SummerSlam Monday Night RAW, as he had that look in his eyes, like someone took something away from him. For multiple weeks, a sadistic side was coming out; Bron Breakker was letting the words people were saying about Oba Femi eat him up. Then Paul Heyman made this match official. As both men were confronting each other, he promoted that this match needed to take place at a high-level event, so tonight on Sunday Night’s Main Event, two of the biggest key pieces for the future of WWE will have their first of many bouts against each other as Bron Breakker takes on Oba Femi tonight in the State Farm Arena as we have to figure out who’s the True Face of the Future for WWE?

• During Night One of SummerSlam, Cody Rhodes was inching toward his 4th World Title win, but someone came sliding in like a snake that preys on its prey; then he struck as a brutal RKO happened as Randy Orton returned for the 1st time since WrestleMania Night One, where he punt-kicked Cody Rhodes and disappeared. For the next month, we got some brawls and intense promo battles where lines were crossed; General Manager Nick Aldis even stepped in and stated that if anyone lays a finger on one another before Sunday Night’s Main Event, they won’t get a shot at the Undisputed WWE Title ever. So, with this in mind, the personal shots became more personal. Randy Orton took shots at Cody Rhodes’ wife, Cody Rhodes’ dog, and Cody Rhodes’ mother. But here’s the thing with all of this in the final face-to-face, with Corey Graves being the moderator. Cody Rhodes, in a light-toned voice, said to Randy Orton that he doesn’t know what he just did because he’s getting the most sadistic side of Cody Rhodes at Sunday Night’s Main Event. Who’ll come out victorious tonight? Will The Viper manage to get his win back after losing at WrestleMania? Or can Cody Rhodes prove once again why he’s better and move to 3-0 against Randy Orton in Singles Action since his return to WWE?

• Tatum Paxley debuted on the Post-SummerSlam Episode of SmackDown, helping Charlotte Flair get the win over Jade Cargill in the Main Event. Since then, she has been aligned with Alexa Bliss, who made it her idea to allow Tatum Paxley to be alongside them. But Charlotte Flair is having a hard time building that connection, even with a win over the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions on the September 4th Episode of Friday Night SmackDown; there’s some work to do with Charlotte Flair and Tatum Paxley with her. But knowing that now, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair have someone who can even the score with tonight’s match at hand; they have a good shot at coming away with the win, even with the chemistry not being at 100%. Tonight, they need to figure that out as they take on B-Fab, Jade Cargill, and Michin in a Six-Women Tag Team Match tonight.

• Trick Williams lost his WWE United States Title against Baron Corbin at SummerSlam and failed to regain it. After the fact of knowing it’ll be hard to get another shot. Lil Yachty will have to survive five minutes of being in the ring against Baron Corbin; if he manages to survive, he’ll help Trick Williams get a shot at the WWE United States Championship. Can Lil Yachty manage to do that tonight?

My Official Match Predictions for WWE Sunday Night's Main Event:

As WWE Sunday Night's Main Event is tonight, the card is shaping up to shape the future of WWE with Bron Breakker and Oba Femi, and show who the better man is between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. Tatum Paxley is having her 1st Official Major WWE event match as she tags with Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair to take on B-Fab, Jade Cargill & Michin. Tonight, so much to unpack as I give my predictions for tonight's show.

Singles Match: Bron Breakker vs. Oba Femi

I think this match is the match I'm the most excited for, as these two are the legit future of WWE, but I don't think there'll be a proper finish. With the rumor swirling that Bronson Reed is on the cusp of returning to WWE. I think he'll return to attack Oba Femi to start a long feud for Oba Femi, as it'll be something fresh and enjoyable. But I do expect this match to be fun and deliver; with a non-finish, it's going to bring the excitement down for me, but these guys better walk out of WrestleMania 43 as World Champions.

Singles Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton

The build for this match has been excellent in my opinion. This is what we should've gotten for the build towards WrestleMania 42. But I do have Cody Rhodes getting the win. We haven't seen Cody Rhodes have a good match on a Major WWE Event since his match against Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel in Perth. But tonight I expect a very fun physical match. But I do think Cody Rhodes will deliver a very strong performance tonight.

Six-Women Tag Team Match: Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair & Tatum Paxley vs. B-Fab, Jade Cargill & Michin

With how the other Six-Women Tag Match went in May on that Saturday Night's Main Event very excited for this match. I have a feeling The Baddies could get the win, but I do think tonight Tatum Paxley will have a fun showing, with some chemistry building with Charlotte Flair to maybe build a friendship. I do think Jade Cargill will have a good showing, and I have Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair & Tatum Paxley getting the win tonight.

Singles Match: Baron Corbin vs. Lil Yachty (with Trick Williams)

Knowing this match has a five-minute time limit, I assume Lil Yachty gets the win via surviving against Baron Corbin. I wish this match were never added have no interest in it. I wish it were Carmelo Hayes winning the gold back on a Major show. But I think Trick Williams will interfere to help Lil Yachty; this feud needs to end as it's dragging Trick Williams down, and he should be doing major feuds, not fillers.
