My Official Review of WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta:
My Official Review: I thought this show was below-average outside of two matches, which were enjoyable and funny enough. It was the matches I wanted to see the most: Bron Breakker against Oba Femi, and the Main Event, Cody Rhodes taking on Randy Orton; both matches delivered for me. But the rest of the show was lackluster; the Lil Yachty stuff was straight garbage and useless. Trick Williams winning back the WWE United States Title is cool; hopefully they do something with it. Bron Breakker and Oba Femi had a very good match, and we saw the return of Bronson Reed as he's prime to have a feud with Oba Femi for the Fall and Winter time in WWE. The Six-Women Tag Team Match could've been a lot better, and the Main Event was fun. But WWE needs to do a better job on these match cards. Even the Pre-Show could have had something like Dragon Lee & Je'Von Evans vs. Fraxiom to hype the crowd up; they gave us Dominik Mysterio and Joe Hendry. But this show didn't hit for me. Hopefully this Road to Money in the Bank is enjoyable because, yeah wish this show was better.

The Pre-Show Match: Dominik Mysterio (with JD McDonagh, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) vs. Joe Hendry in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: *.75 — It's quite hilarious because I never expect a Pre-Show match by WWE, but this was cool to see even though the match wasn't that good to me. Joe Hendry has been feuding with The Judgement Day since July, and now he suffered a loss to Dominik Mysterio, as he pinned Joe Hendry once again. He's catching steam and is taken seriously, it seems, by WWE Creative, which I hope they continue to do by having him in his 1st Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match in October.
The Opening Match: Lil Yachty vs. Baron Corbin in a Beat The Clock No Count Out No Disqualification Match | My Match Rating: DUD — I didn't want to see this; the only good thing was that it allowed a title match to happen after, but this made no sense. You hit two End of Days. You didn't go for the pin. Then, marvelously, Lil Yachty hits a low blow, then wins via time-limit draw. This match made Baron Corbin have an IQ of a rock. Because what even was this match for? Could've just given the rematch with Trick Williams, and maybe adding Carmelo Hayes could have been a fun match. But Lil Yachty won in his WWE in-ring debut; never thought I would've typed that in for an actual sentence.
The 2nd Match: Baron Corbin (c) vs. Trick Williams in a WWE United States Title Match | My Match Rating: **.50 — I actually enjoyed a little bit of this match, given that Baron Corbin wrestled a match beforehand. Trick Williams had the advantage of a fresh body and full stamina, while Baron Corbin was a little out of it. But this match was a lot better than the SummerSlam match, in my opinion. Baron Corbin basically was a transitional champion; knowing he still held Trick Williams' custom belt, we knew Trick Williams was going to win the title back eventually. But Trick Williams got the win, and the crowd erupted, happy for Trick Williams. Hopefully, we can get a proper Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams rivalry now, with the WWE United States Title le back on Trick Williams shoulders.
The 3rd Match: Oba Femi vs. Bron Breakker in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: ***.50 — This was a straight Heavyweight Match, and it was Oba Femi’s first match where he looked like his NXT self, which is great because I think allowing Oba Femi to actually wrestle is what everyone wants. We’re tired of squashes, and he and Bron Breakker had an awesome match. The fight felt so real; the back-and-forth was awesome, and I loved that we’re seeing the first of many matches between these men. These guys will one day main event WrestleMania against each other. But we knew The Vision would come out and insert themselves, as Austin Theory, Logan Paul, and Maxxine Dupri appeared. Bronson Reed made his return after being out for several months, ending this via DQ by destroying Oba Femi. Now we’re getting a Bronson Reed vs. Oba Femi match in the future, and oh boy, I can’t wait. Bronson Reed looks in amazing shape. But I’m let down by the match ending in a DQ, even though I knew it would end that way. At least the Bronson Reed and Oba Femi program is about to get underway.
The 4th Match: The Baddies (B-Fab, Jade Cargill & Michin) vs. Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair & Tatum Paxley in a Six-Women Tag Team Match | My Match Rating: **.25 — I wished it went longer, but this match wasn't like the May Saturday Night's Main Event Six-Women Tag Team Match back then; this felt like it didn't have time to really progress. I like the fact that The Baddies got the win they needed; this win, and I also love the TLC inspired attires that was pretty neat, but seeing that Jade Cargill got the pin on Charlotte Flair leads me to believe a one-on-one rematch will happen at some point. But now we have more story to tell between Charlotte Flair and Tatum Paxley with the mishap that occurred tonight during the match, but I wish this was a lot better because I know it would've been a banger of a match.
The Main Event Match: Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: *** — Decent Main Event. This is what we should’ve gotten at WrestleMania Night One. We saw Randy Orton being the sadistic asshole he always has been, jawing at Brandi Rhodes. Cody Rhodes went to his dark side for a little bit, controlling the match and really showing what he is capable of doing when pushed to that side. I loved that Randy Orton was busted open by the Steel Steps attack by Cody Rhodes. I thought Cody Rhodes was going for the killing blow with the Punt Kick, but Cody Rhodes was holding himself back after Randy Orton started pleading. Cody Rhodes didn’t pull the trigger, and because of that, he fell right into Randy Orton’s trap as he struck a low blow and an RKO to get the win. What a match, and now in this feud it's split 1-1. Is the ending coming at Money in the Bank? We’ll find out.
My Official Match of the Night for WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta: Oba Femi vs. Bron Breakker in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: ***.50 — Oba Femi and Bron Breakker had a strong heavyweight match, with Femi finally showing more of his NXT style. The back-and-forth made it feel real, and this looks like the start of a great rivalry. The Vision interrupted, and Bronson Reed returned to wreck Femi and end the match by DQ. The finish was disappointing, but the Reed-Femi feud should be good.
My Official Highlight of the Night for WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta: Bronson Reed Returning — This was an awesome moment even though I wish the match had a proper ending because it was such a great match Bronson Reed looked in the best shape of his life he’s prime to have the run ogf his life he destroyed Oba Femiw ith the help of Bron Breakker as he hit multiple Tsumani’s to send the message now that this program coming I’m so excited to see how the matches between Bronson Reed and Oba Femi go because I’m excited about the direction this is going. Awesome return; great to see Bronson Reed back in a badass look.
My Official Episode Grade for WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta: 2/10 (F) —This show was below-average overall, with only two standout matches: Bron Breakker vs. Oba Femi and Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton. Both delivered, but the rest of the card felt weak, especially the Lil Yachty segment, which was awful and unnecessary. Trick Williams winning back the WWE United States Title was a nice moment, and Bronson Reed’s return to attack Oba Femi was a big highlight. The six-woman tag was decent but underwhelming, and the pre-show could’ve used a better match to set the tone. Overall, the event didn’t fully land for me, though the Bron Breakker/Oba Femi and Cody Rhodes/Randy Orton matches made it worthwhile.
